Ketanji Brown Jackson officially became a Supreme Court Justice today
Ketanji Brown Jackson, 51, was sworn in as the Supreme Court's 116th Justice today, just as Justice Stephen Breyer retired after nearly 28 years on the nation's highest court.
Jackson is the first black woman to serve as a Supreme Court Justice and it's the first time four women will serve together on the nine-member court.

The voters in Colorado, in a district that became more Republican after being redrawn this year, reaffirmed their choice of high school dropout and far-right MAGA supporter Lauren Boebert to continue to represent them as their Republican candidate for Congress in yesterday's primary.
The word "ignorant" has a new poster child. Boebert heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address. She has made Islamophobic comments towards colleagues. In the wake of the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe, Boebert said, "the church is supposed to direct the government" and that she's "tired of this separation of church and state junk."
You can't fix stupid.

Another Trump Ass-Sniffing Loser Refuses To Concede
Mesa County clerk Tina Peters is refusing to concede after losing her efforts to secure the Republican nomination for secretary of state in Colorado.
Tina learned bad behavior from Trump, the master con man and snake oil salesman.
Pam Anderson, one of Peters' opponents, took 44.7% of the votes; Mike O’Donnell, another opponent, took 28.8%. Peters only secured a pathetic 26.5% of the vote, yet this MAGA cultist and member of what shall now forever be known as the "Malignant Narcissists For Trump" cult, is refusing to concede. Peters is a 2020 election denier, and as a sore loser is now offering a baseless conspiracy theory about the election, modeled after Trump's baseless election fraud accusations.
By the way, according to Colorado Public Radio, Peters "gained a national profile for allegedly violating the security of her office's election equipment to allow an authorized person to hunt for evidence of fraud. She is currently under criminal indictment and has been banned from overseeing elections in her county this year."

A vote for Republicans is a vote to end democracy
On Jan. 6th, 147 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted to object to an election they knew to be free and fair. Then a month later, 43 Republican senators voted to acquit a man they knew to be guilty. The Republicans empowered the "Big Lie" and the big liar. The Republicans are voting to end democracy, and they know it.
Today, as we watch the purge of Republicans willing to tell the truth, we now know that the threat is ongoing. The Republican platform is a bigoted, racist, homophobic, theocratic rejection of our country, our president, voters of color, the LGBTQ community and those who do not embrace their dogma. The Republicans are the antithesis of American values. They cloak themselves in their belief in God, the Constitution and our founding fathers. Nonetheless, they have declared that we do not have a legitimate president. This means they do not recognize the United States government as theirs. These Republicans have failed to understand the dangerous moment we are in and the role they are playing. Let's hope the voters will not fail to vote out these compromised Republican lawmakers.
The country is in the midst of mid-term elections. A vote for Republicans is a vote to end democracy.

Uneducated Lauren Boebert is "tired of this separation of church and state junk"
Dumber than shit has a new poster child: Colorado Representative and high school dropout Lauren Boebert.
Rep. Lauren Boebert tried to school a Christian audience on how the U.S. government works, but she failed miserably. "The church is supposed to direct the government. The government is not supposed to direct the church," she claimed, oblivious to the Constitution's Establishment Clause, which "prohibits the government from unduly preferring religion over non-religion," according to Cornell Law School. She also claimed that God "anointed" Trump to run for president.
"And I'm tired of this separation of church and state junk that's not in the Constitution," she said.
Lauren Boebert dropped out of high school. Maybe she can't yet read.
Also in Colorado, Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters continues to outraise her opponents in Colorado’s Republican secretary of state primary despite the fact that Peters is being indicted on seven felony charges related to election fraud, called on by her own party to suspend her campaign, and barred by a judge from overseeing her county’s elections this year.
These are the kinds of fools that the voters in Colorado put in office to represent them. Sad, very sad.

Donors are tired of Trump's Shit Show
Politico has reported that conservative donors are tiring of the drama of Trump's "shit show."
Elements of the voters, donors and activists that make the three pillars of the failing Republican party are exhausted and are growing less willing to let the baggage of the Trump years complicate the future.
“Trump is facing an important onslaught of negative facts with these hearings and there is no real defense. He has no friendly members on the committee and there aren’t facts to put in front of the public to make any of this sound less bad,” said Dan Eberhart, a Republican donor. “Ron DeSantis,” he said of the Florida governor, “is lying in wait, sharpening his knives.”
This isn't necessarily good news, as DeSantis is equally as incompetent as Trump.

Supreme Court Justice William Brennan, the great liberal who dominated the heyday of the Warren Court in the 1960s, used to quiz his law clerks about the most important rule at the Supreme Court. His answer: “Five votes can do anything around here.”
Justice Brennan was correct. Stupid as Trump is, he understood "the rule of five" too. Trump stacked the court with three conservatives (Neal Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett) who provided the 6-3 majority to overturn Roe v. Wade.
So now the question becomes … a majority for what else? What other damage can Trump's court do?
“No one should be confident that this majority is done with its work,” the dissenters wrote. The downward slide has just begun. The current Supreme Court is a "mockery of democracy."

Is Euthanasia Next?
Yesterday the Supreme Court, which twice-impeached Trump stacked with three of his right-wing conservative judges, overturned Roe v. Wade, the nearly 50-year constitutional right to abortion. The court's liberal justices, however, issued a blistering dissent, concluding that the court's conservative majority has deemed that women are not deserving of equal protection under the law. They slammed the “draconian” opinion as a decision that will undeniably curtail women’s rights and turn back “their status as free and equal citizens.”
Protesters took to the streets in large cities and gathered in town parks across America yesterday to protest this historic ruling. "Abort the Court" was one protester's message.
“Regulate guns, not our bodies,” the protestors outside Justice Clarence Thomas’s road were chanting. The court also overturned New York's gun law this week, weakening it by now allowing concealed gun carry in that state.
This week's Supreme Court rulings are much bigger than abortion or gun rights issues. They're about the dissolution of your rights in a democratic republic and the slow move toward becoming a dictatorial nation.
So what's next from Trump's kangaroo court? Forced vasectomies? Euthanasia for elderly baby boomers? Searches of your home or your car? Monitoring your phone and social media posts?
Lesson learned: The Republicans have started the demise of democracy. Vote Democratic for Every Office in Every Election!

Today is a sad day for democracy. Trump's heavily stacked Supreme Court proved today that it's no longer a bastion of unbiased justice. It's been reduced to an unofficial arm that does the bidding of the dictatorial Trump administration.
The Statue of Liberty weeps at the demise of democracy.
Between the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the court's ruling on guns in New York this week, it is obvious even to the casual observer that democracy is on the decline in America.
Former President Barack Obama said, "Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues — attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans."
No matter what side of the issue you stand on, the fact is that women's rights have been eliminated, taken away by the stroke of the court's pen.
Let's take this a couple of steps further — very possible steps. How long is it going to be before KCOTUS rules that men cannot have vasectomies? Or how long is it going to be before KCOTUS rules that Social Security (due to government mismanagement, by the way) is going bankrupt sooner than expected and that all citizens older than 80 are a drain on the system, and since they have already lived "a good long life," it's time for court-mandated euthanasia? You can take it from this jumping off point.

Today, at the House Select Committee hearing, former White House staff identified six Republican lawmakers who sought January 6 Capitol riot-related pardons.
You don't request a pardon if you haven't done anything wrong. Therefore, only the guilty ask for pardons.
At least 6 Republican members of Congress have now been publicly identified as pressing Trump's White House to give them pardons in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol. Those obviously guilty Republican legislators are:
- Andy Biggs of Arizona
- Mo Brooks of Alabama
- Matt Gaetz of Florida
- Louie Gohmert of Texas
- Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia
- Scott Perry of Pennsylvania
Ambassador Norm Eisen, who served as co-counsel for the House Judiciary Committee during Trump's first impeachment, shared his thoughts following the hearing: "Congressmen helping Trump on and before 1/6 and then demanding pardons. Makes me think of 18 USC 201: A public official who corruptly seeks anything of value in return for an official act or colluding in fraud shall be imprisoned for up to 15 years and disqualified from office."

The House Select Committee Presented New Evidence Against 'Bouffant Head' Today
The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress and Bouffant Head's plot to overthrow the 2020 election met again for a live televised public hearing this afternoon. Republican witnesses tied Trump directly to his fake electors scheme. Multiple witnesses told the committee, under oath, that Trump was personally involved in the effort to put forward slates of fake electors in key battleground states
Evidence was presented about Trump's attempt to send fake electors to overturn the will of the voters, as well as his attempt to violate the Constitution by getting Brad Raffensperger, the Secretary of State of Georgia, to magically "find" 11,780 votes so he could win the 2020 election.
Trump was personally told by his inner circle advisors and attorneys that his biggest voter-fraud claims were false, but he still kept pushing them. Trump knew what he was doing was illegal, but he did it anyway. Trump, being a racist, a serial liar, and a con man, is a cancer to society who has duped millions of people into believing his “Big Lie.”

Charge Trump With Treason
Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner explained on MSNBC yesterday that there is more than enough evidence for the Department of Justice to charge Trump with treason.
Kirschner said there is ample evidence that Trump "declared war" on the U.S — the very definition of treason:
- Trump recruited the Proud Boys and others to 'stand back and stand by, and await before their orders.'
- Trump set the date for the Capitol attack — 'come to DC January 6th, will be wild.'
- Trump deployed them — he gave the order: 'go to the Capitol, fight like hell or you won't have a country anymore.'
- Trump provided the illegal reason — 'go stop the [election vote] certification.' "He used the word 'steal', which is helpful because it helps expose his corrupt intent."
- Trump "then sat in the White House dining room for three hours, watching the attack with people streaming in begging him to call off his attack dogs, and he wouldn't."
- Trump's aides asked him to send reinforcements to the Capitol to defend the people who were under attack — and Trump refused.
- Trump sided with his insurrectionists, who were saying "maybe Mike Pence should be hanged."
The Ipsos/ABC News survey found that even more than a year since the Capitol riot, 58% of respondents agree that Trump deserves to be criminally charged for his seditious conspiracy in sparking the Jan 6 uprising.

This callous social media stunt was spliced together with doctored footage of Biden’s bike mishap over the weekend.

TRUMP IS SCUM!
HuffPost reported that conservative attorney George Conway said that Trump continues to very publicly admit he was involved in an “illegal” scheme to overturn the election.
In a two-hour speech at the “Faith and Freedom” conference on Friday, Trump talked at length about pressuring Mike Pence to reject electoral votes cast for Joe Biden on Jan. 6, 2021. Conway said, “From a prosecutor’s standpoint, let him keep talking. He basically is still admitting that he put pressure on [former Vice President] Mike Pence to do something that was completely illegal.” Trump also called the violence at the Capitol a “simple protest” that got out of hand.
Trump also said he would “very, very seriously” consider granting pardons to defendants who stormed the Capitol if he’s reelected. That could be seen as an attempt at “witness tampering,” said Conway.
Trump knows he lost — he knew from the beginning. So why does he continue to spew his baseless claims of election fraud? He continues to use his 'Big Lie' to tap stupid Republican supporters for donations to the tune of a quarter of a billion dollars. Trump told those supporters in relentless email solicitations that their money was needed to stop the so-called “left-wing mob” from stealing the election. Your donations, he claimed, would go to something called the Official Election Defense Fund. But as Trump officials now admit, no such fund ever existed. You were scammed. Your money went elsewhere, including to the “Trump Hotel Collection.” Ignorant Trump supporters were confronted with incontrovertible proof that they made a mistake, but they doubled down on the mistake rather than embrace the truth.
Let's call a spade a spade, folks. Trump is a con-man, a grifter, a snake oil salesman, and a traitor from Queens who cares about nothing that doesn’t line his pockets or fatten his ego.

Trump supporters are the lowest bottom-feeders on the planet
The Associated Press reported that one by one, several of Trump's former top advisers have told a special House committee investigating his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection that they didn't believe Trump's lies about the 2020 election, and that Trump knew he lost to Joe Biden. Former Attorney General Bill Barr said that Trump has “become detached from reality if he really believes this stuff.” But instead of convincing Trump's most stalwart supporters, testimony from Barr and Trump's daughter Ivanka about the election and the attack on the U.S. Capitol is prompting many of them to simply reassert their views that Trump was correct in his false claim of victory.
Ivanka Trump has remained intensely popular with many Trump supporters and is seen by many as her father's potential successor. Jordan Sather, a leading proponent of the baseless QAnon theory, claims both Barr and Ivanka Trump lied during their testimony on Trump’s orders. Many Trump supporters posting on social media say they don't even believe the hearings are happening, but are a Hollywood production starring stand-ins for the former president's daughter and others.
These are people who, like Trump himself, live in their own twisted and false sense of reality. These are people who choose to remain America's ignorant bottom-feeders.
“It's cognitive dissonance,” said Jennifer Stromer-Galley, a Syracuse University professor who has studied how Trump used social media and advertising to mobilize his base. “If you believe what Trump says, and now Bill Barr and Trump's own daughter are saying these other things, it creates a crack, and people have to fill it." Cognitive dissonance has a significant effect on people's behaviors, thoughts, decisions, beliefs, attitudes, and mental health; and can cause them to avoid, devalue and/or discard factual information, such as news sources which they baselessly claim is biased or false.

Trump remains a clear and present danger to American democracy
J. Michal Luttig, a retired federal appeals judge who testified at yesterday's House Select Committee hearing, said Trump and his allies remain a “clear and present danger to American democracy.”
Witnesses at the hearing testified that Trump and his aides, who were pushing for Vice President Pence to overturn the vote, knew that their plan would violate the US Constitution, and those witnesses testified that Pence had no legal power to interfere with the election results, stressing that there is no precedent in US history for what Trump was asking his vice president to do.
“Donald Trump knew he lost the 2020 election, but he could not bring himself to participate in the peaceful transfer of power, so he latched on to a scheme that – once again – he knew was illegal,” said Democratic Congressman Pete Aguilar at the hearing.

Trump must be prosecuted to save American democracy
Ruth Ben-Ghiat, an historian at New York University and the author of the book, "Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present," said that in light of the January 6 hearings, Trump might have to be prosecuted in order to save American democracy ahead of the 2024 election. But Ron DeSantis, the neo-Nazi governor of Florida, could take his place as a populist nominee.
"What we do find in history is prosecution, in the longer term, is one of the only things that deflates these guys' personality cults, because those cults are founded on the idea that they are invincible, they are infallible," Ben-Ghiat said. "Now, if that does happen to Trump — DeSantis has already absorbed all the lessons of Trump."
DeSantis is "clearly readying himself for a national run, whether it's in 2024 or later. And he's a very dangerous individual," Ben Ghiat said. "He's dangerous because he is equally repressive, but doesn't have the baggage of Trump. It's hard to have the baggage of Trump."

Ignorant Republican Boebert said the Romans killed Jesus because He didn't have an AR-15
Just when we thought we couldn't stoop to even more Republican ignorance, enter Lauren Boebert, the Republican House representative from Colorado.
She was defending gun rights as she spoke at a Christian event on Saturday when she said, "Jesus didn't need an AR-15. How many AR-15s do you think Jesus woulda had? Well, he didn't have enough to keep his government from killing him."
That statement alone revealed Boebert's ignorance and insensitivity. But no, she went on.
In another pro-gun rights statement, Boebert referenced the Bible's first recorded murder — in which Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, killed his brother Abel. "Cancel culture has been here since the very beginning. Cain canceled Abel. And guess what, it wasn't with a big, scary AR-15, it was with a rock," she said. "So I don't think it's a firearm issue, I think it's a heart, a sin issue."
Anyone who would cast a vote for Boebert is very obviously even more ignorant than she is.
Boebert was born in Florida to parents who moved to Colorado when she was 12. She dropped out of high school and, after a few years, started working for a drilling company. This is what the people from Colorado picked to represent them in Congress. Those Coloradoans who voted for Boebert obviously can't be too bright in the IQ department. Unfortunately, stupidity is still not illegal in the United States.

New York's highest court rejects Trump's appeal
New York's Court of Appeals rejected Trump’s last-ditch effort to avoid testifying in the state attorney general’s civil investigation into his business practices, clearing the way for his deposition next month.
Court of Appeals said there was no “substantial constitutional question” that would warrant its intervention in the matter following an intermediate appellate court’s ruling last month enforcing a subpoena for Trump’s testimony. The court also dismissed a motion by Trump’s lawyers to stay the subpoenas. The appellate division of the state’s trial court ruled May 26 that the Trumps had to undergo a deposition, upholding a lower court’s ruling that Attorney General Letitia James’ office had “the clear right” to question Trump and certain other figures in his company, the Trump Organization.
James has said her three-year investigation has uncovered evidence that the Trump Organization exaggerated the value of assets including skyscrapers, golf courses and even his Manhattan penthouse to get loans, insurance and tax breaks for land donations. A lawyer for her office told a judge last month that evidence could support legal action against Trump.
Legal action against Trump, the liar and cheater, is long overdue. Lock him up. Lock him up. Lock him up.

After the second presentation by the House Select Committee on 6/12/22, a few things were confirmed that we already knew: Trump is a sleazy con man, a grifter, and a f*cking liar. He knows it, and the world knows it.
- Trump claimed that there was a big "vote dump" in Detroit. Former Attorney General Barr testified under oath and debunked many of Trump's lies, this one being just one of them.
- Trump suggested there was significant fraud that could have impacted election results in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania. Former Attorney General Barr testified under oath that it wasn't true.
- The panel made the case that Trump's false claims about voter fraud dovetailed with his campaign's fundraising effort — resulting in $250 million being donated to Trump and his allies, including solicited requests for an "official election defense fund" that did not exist. This was another of Trump's scams to further line his pockets — the "Big Rip-Off" — just another incident of how Trump tried to cheat and deceive those who put their trust in him.
- Former Attorney General Barr testified that Trump claimed major fraud before there was "any potential of looking at evidence."
- Former Attorney General Barr testified that “they wasted a whole month on claims on the Dominion voting machines, and they were idiotic claims.”
- Even Jared Kushner said he opposed Trump and Rudy Giuliani's 2020 election lies.
Trump "doesn't have the mental capacity to be president of the United States. He shouldn't be anywhere near a position of responsibility," said Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA). Republicans need to nominate a candidate with morals and principles, not a malignant narcissist and unprincipled deviate.
Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume suggested that many elected Republicans are secretly hoping that the Jan. 6 House Select Committee ruins Trump’s chances of running for president again in 2024.
Trump should be tried, convicted and then sentenced to life in prison for his traitorous crimes against America.

The Miami Herald reported that the Proud Boys (aka "Gutless Goons") "were largely calling the shots in the hours before and in igniting the attack on the Capital" on Jan. 6, 2001, following Trump's directives, in an attempt to keep Trump, the loser, in power, despite the fact that Joe Biden overwhelmingly defeated him in the 2020 election.
The key role the dissident group played was detailed by the House Select Committee, which provided evidence of the group's actions.
This week, Enrique Tarrio, former national chairman of the "Gutless Goons," and four of the group’s members were charged with seditious conspiracy stemming from their participation in the Jan. 6 attack.

Ginny Thomas accused of undermining democracy
Ginny Thomas, the wife of supreme court justice Clarence Thomas, was accused of “undermining democracy” after it emerged that she emailed 29 Republican lawmakers in Arizona in her effort to overturn Joe Biden’s victory over Trump. Ginny said her activism does not clash with her husband’s work. Yeah, right!
Justice Clarence Thomas is a stringent conservative who has not recused himself from election-related cases. When Trump tried to deny the House January 6 committee access to White House records, Thomas was the only justice to side with him.
Wajahat Ali, a columnist and senior fellow at the Western States Center, which works to strengthen democracy, said, “You have an extremist conservative duo working the courts and the rightwing activist machine to overturn our free and fair election.”
The Supreme Court is no longer unbiased! Justice Thomas should either resign or be impeached.

The House Select Committee Shows Trump To Be A Lying, Traitorous Bastard
The House Select Committee demonstrated that Trump's lies and conspiracy theories were more important to him than the oath he took to defend the Constitution of the United States as he planned and encouraged insurrectionists to violently attempt to stop Congress from doing its constitutional duty of certifying Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
Trump is a lying, traitorous bastard who needs to be tried, convicted and then imprisoned as a traitor to the United States of America.
Many ignorant and spineless Republican candidates are taking a page from Trump's playbook and are continuing to use baseless election-fraud claims to rally Trump cult members (aka "supporters") for their own political gain. However, as Republican Representative Liz Cheney so articulately stated to her Republican colleagues who are defending Trump's lawlessness both before and after that horrific day on Jan. 6, 2021, “I say this to my Republican colleagues, there will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.” This dishonor applies equally as well to Republican voters who continue to support Trump, the Traitor to America.
"If [Trump] truly believed the election was stolen, he is not mentally capable of being president because every piece of evidence shown to him, done by anybody that's serious besides wackos on the Internet, said that the election was legitimate," said Adam Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois on "CBS Mornings" this morning. Kinzinger added, "Donald Trump is responsible. He lit the flame. He summoned the mob."
FACTS: It is laughable to think that Trump genuinely believed he won the 2020 election. Joe Biden clearly and easily won it, receiving 81.2 million votes to Trump's 74.2 million. Biden received 306 electoral votes, while Trump received 232 electoral votes. Trump knew he had lost a free and fair election, but he wanted to remain in power anyway; so he planned and encouraged an insurrection. Trump used a violent mob to pressure Mike Pence and Congress to overturn the election results. His illegal attempt was unsuccessful. Trump refused to call in any defense of the besieged Capitol and told his aides that Mike Pence deserved to be lynched. Trump's ignorant and low-IQ followers do not believe Trump or his minions of pathetic ass-sniffers should be held accountable.

House Committee Hearings on Jan. 6 Insurrection Televised Tonight!
The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection at our nation's Capitol is being televised for the nation to watch beginning tonight at 8PM (EST)!
The Committee is zeroing in on Trump, and is preparing to use its platform to argue that he was responsible for grave abuses of power that nearly upended US democracy. The committee's central mission has been to uncover the full scope of Trump's unprecedented attempt to stop the transfer of power to President Joe Biden. This includes Trump's attempts to overturn his overwhelming 2020 defeat by pressuring state and federal officials, and what committee members say was his "dereliction of duty" on January 6 while his supporters ransacked the US Capitol.
These hearings will be the panel's first opportunity to show the public what they've learned from more than 1,000 witness interviews and 135,000 documents. An avalanche of new information about January 6 has come to light since Trump's impeachment trial in February 2021. The committee has found evidence of concerted planning and premeditated activity related to the events of January 6.

Wyoming Republican Senator is "a little surprised" at gun legislation response
A little surprised? Read it again: A little surprised?
Out-of-touch Wyoming Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis is "a little surprised" after being flooded with calls from voters demanding that she act to end mass shootings.
Lummis has now made a U-turn on her policy position regarding gun background checks after being flooded by a deluge of calls from constituents which came following the recent spate of mass shootings around the country. Just two weeks ago she said she wouldn't support expanded background checks for gun purchases.
The voting citizens of Wyoming obviously have a brain. Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis, who holds a "lifetime A-plus rating" from the National Rifle Association, obviously doesn't. Right after the Uvalde shooting, Lummis said that expanding background checks "would not be acceptable for the state of Wyoming." She added, "I am of the opinion that it's more of a mental health issue than a gun issue. But, you know, I'm listening to what people from Wyoming are saying."
The primary mental health issue we have is the body of Trump cult followers within the ranks of the right-wing Republican party.
The only thing these lame legislators listen to is the voters who rightfully threaten to end their political careers.

Fox News won’t show continuous live coverage of Thursday’s first televised hearing into the deadly attack on the US Capitol, putting the conservative news outlet at odds with its competitors and keeping its viewers uninformed and stupid.
Instead, it will continue with its regular schedule of primetime shows by right-wing, neo-Nazi hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham.

Forty-eight year old Marjorie Taylor Greene, the QAnon pig and Trump ass-sniffer, tried her best to pick a fight with David Hogg, the 22-year-old Parkland school shooting survivor and co-founder of March For Our Lives, a gun control group that was formed in 2018 following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead.
Greene failed spectacularly in her futile attempt to attack David Hogg.
Greene tweeted that she didn't see Hogg's upcoming protest against gun violence on June 11th in Washington, D.C., on her schedule, and asked why not?
Hogg responded, "Congresswoman Greene, I"m more interested in protecting children and meeting commonsense people who are looking for reasonable solutions to stop children from dying. Don't really have time to help you go viral for attacking survivors so you can fundraise. Respectfully, David."

Watch the first Jan. 6 Committee Hearing this Thursday!
This Thursday, June 9th, officials intend to show side-by-side examples of the violence at the U.S. Capitol and what was happening at the White House at the same time.
The first hearing will start Thursday, June 9, at 8 p.m. Eastern time. There could be as many as eight televised hearings, with a final hearing in September — right before the November midterm elections. The Washington Post will have anchored coverage and analysis beginning Thursday night on www.washingtonpost.com.
Carol Leonnig from The Washington Post said, "It will have a lot of Donald Trump's own words as relayed by witnesses, as relayed by Donald Trump himself, people who were at his shoulder. And, so, you will see a kind of a split-screen. What was happening on the Capitol at the same moment as what was happening inside the White House with Donald Trump."

Reclassify semi-automatic rifles as Class 3 firearms
Michael Fanone is a CNN law enforcement analyst who served for 20 years with the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department. In addition, he worked part-time for several years in firearm sales in big box stores and small gun shops, as well as training law enforcement officers, members of the military and civilians.
In reference to the AR-15, Fanone says, "This weapon doesn't belong in the hands of the average civilian."
The following is a must-read article by Fanone on CNN: Opinion: Here's the reason people tell me they want to buy an AR-15. And it's simply ludicrous.
Fanone recommends banning the AR-15 from the civilian marketplace as a no-brainer, as are universal background checks. Neither move is going to solve all the gun problems that we have, but it would be a start. And outlawing these AR-15s would not require confiscating them from people who already have them.
However, if banning the AR-15 is not feasible, Fanone has a great solution: Reclassify semi-automatic rifles as Class 3 firearms. That would mean that someone wanting to purchase an AR-15 would have to go through a background check, fingerprinting and review by an official from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives — a process that takes anywhere from 12 to 16 months. And since Class 3 weapons can't be purchased by anyone younger than 21, it would solve the issue of emotionally unstable 18-year-olds buying them.

Louie Gohmert, another low-life, bottom of the barrel Republican from Texas, revealed his incredible ignorance yesterday when he said, "If you're a Republican, you can't even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent." Gohmert made this incredibly stupid and revealing statement on Newsmax when asked about Peter Navarro's indictment for contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with the January 6 committee.
Gohmert continued, saying, "They're gonna bury you. They're gonna put you in the DC jail and terrorize you and torture you."

Florida Congressman Greg Steube pulled out multiple handguns during a House Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday. This is proof of the type of low-IQ assholes we have on the Republican side of the aisle in the House. He appeared by video conference from his Florida home, arguing that Democrats are trying to strip Americans' constitutional right to bear arms by restricting the ammunition they use.
As Steube foolishly demonstrated his firearms, Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, of Texas, could be heard cutting into his speech saying, "I hope the gun is not loaded."
Steube also drew criticism from Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif, who said, "This is who Republicans are. Kids are being buried and they're bragging about how many guns they own during our gun safety hearing. They are not serious. They are a danger to our kids."
Absolutely! Steube is just one more example of the idiot Republicans that stupid people have elected to represent them — low-life bottom feeders!

The Epitome of Ignorance and Stupidity on Full Display
The epitome of ignorance and stupidity is on full display at the James Madison Preparatory High School in Tallahassee, Florida, where Business Insider has reported that they have been raffling guns to raise money.
The Florida charter school has given away handguns, shotguns, and an AK-47 as part of a month-long fundraiser. Amazingly, at this point in history with more mass shootings than ever before in our nation's history, this school sees nothing wrong with raffling off guns.
Winners were announced on a Facebook live stream. On Wednesday, the school held its final drawing in the raffle, giving away a Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen, a 16-gauge shotgun that retails for around $2,000. The winner's name was picked out of a raffle drum operated by assistant principal Patrick White, who obviously doesn't have a brain in his head.
School Principal Mark Akerman said, "We would like for you to know that we take school safety extremely seriously at James Madison." Yeah, right.
What part of ignorance and stupidity is missing here at this school in this red state?

Screw the failing NRA. We voters can enact real change.
The NRA may have powerful lobbyists, but as an organization it's failing. The most powerful lobbyists of all are the voters — you and me and the masses of other voters who want to completely ban the sale of assault weapons, strengthen "red flag" laws, enact background checks on all gun sales, and raise the age to buy any gun in America to twenty-one. All of this should get bipartisan support, but there are very few Republican members in Congress who say they're open to changes.
Congress is not likely to solve this problem. But we law-abiding gun owners can. Those of us who have decided that we've had enough are the only ones who can do something about this uniquely American problem.
A full sixty-nine percent of NRA members now support expanded background checks on sales of all firearms, in spite of the NRA's "official" stance claiming otherwise. According to IRS tax filings, the NRA's revenue has decreased 23% between 2016 and 2020. The NRA's corporate and grant contributions are down 15%, and NRA membership is down as well. As an organization, the NRA is failing. According to Gallup, 44% of American households own a firearm. That means there could be as many as 81 million American gun owners, most of whom are law abiding and responsible citizens. The NRA has claimed to represent these folks, but in reality the NRA is just standing in the way. The NRA no longer represents a majority of gun owners.
So, let's not forget that it's an election year. A few rational Republican legislators out there do want change; but we, as the largest group of lobbyists, should use our power to vote out the rest, and not just at the House and Senate level. We should vote out every city, county, and neighborhood official on the ballot who continues to stand behind the far right agenda preventing gun law reform. Let's use our lobbying power in the one place where it really counts — the voting booth!
