Trump: The Sexual Abuser

As president, Trump has embodied such values for more than a decade — shining light on this ugly truth about the Republican Party.

In a comment that would echo for decades, Texas’ 1990 Republican gubernatorial candidate Clayton W. Williams advised women on how they should respond to rape: “If it’s inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.”

This is the misogynism within the Republican party. Hatred toward women and the promotion of policies meant to make women second-class citizens are not merely on the periphery of right-wing politics — they are a major component of the Republican party’s sick identity.

Minimizing rape is precisely what to expect from a party that has spent decades working to undermine abortion rights, ultimately overturning Roe v. Wade. A pivotal vote in overturning Roe came from Justice Clarence Thomas, who was accused of sexually harassing his former supervisee Anita Hill in 1991.

When a case involving rape becomes national news, the conservatives — the Republicans — weigh in. And unlike most Americans, they continually put themselves on the side of the offenders — worrying about the effect on men and minimizing the abuse against women.

The biggest offender of all — Donald Trump — who is arguably the most notable Republican who’s associated with sexual abuse. This PIG has admitted to sexually assaulting women and has been publicly accused by at least 28 women of sexual assault or abuse.

This is the leader of the MAGA cult — the person the ignorant MAGA followers look up to and admire.
