Trump and his MAGA Maggots will crash the economy!
This is not a Halloween joke, folks.
One of the final snapshots before Election Day shows that under the Democrats, America is on solid footing, with no recession in sight. The economy added a whopping 254,000 jobs in September, inflation is a whisper away from the Federal Reserve’s 2% target and consumer confidence jumped this month by the fastest clip since March 2021, according to The Conference Board — all signs of a robust economy. This is the healthy economy under Democratic President Biden!
On Friday, October 25, at a town hall held on his social media platform X, Elon Musk told the audience that if Trump wins, he expects to work in a Cabinet-level position to cut the federal government. Trump has promised to appoint Musk to be the government’s “chief efficiency officer.” (Note: Rob Wile and Lora Kolodny of CNBC pointed out that Musk’s SpaceX aerospace venture has received $19 billion from the U.S. government since 2008.) At the Trump rally at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Musk said he plans to cut $2 trillion from the government. Economists point out that current discretionary spending in the budget is $1.7 trillion, meaning Musk's plan would eliminate virtually all discretionary spending, which includes transportation, education, housing, and environmental programs. Economists agree that Trump’s plans to place a high tariff wall around the U.S., replacing income taxes on high earners with tariffs paid for by middle-class Americans, and to deport as many as 20 million immigrants would crash the booming economy. Now Musk, Trump’s financial backer, is factoring in the loss of entire sectors of the government to the economy under Trump. This is sheer ignorance.
Musk's plan, approved by Trump, echoes the prescription of Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon, whose theories for restoring a healthy economy had done much to create the Great Crash of 1929. “Liquidate labor, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate,” Mellon told President Herbert Hoover. Musk is seeking to create an economic crisis and to crash the economy. As part of the Republicans’ plan to take the country back, House speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) expects to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, eliminating health insurance for millions of Americans.
Both President Joe Biden and Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris have called for reducing the deficit not by slashing the government, as Musk proposes, but by restoring taxes on the wealthy and corporations.
In Wisconsin yesterday, when he disembarked from his plane, Trump put on an orange reflective vest and had someone drive him around the tarmac in a garbage truck with TRUMP painted on the side, a reference to the Madison Square Garden rally's comment about Puerto Rico being "a floating island of garbage." Instead of an orange reflective vest, Trump should have put on an orange prison jumpsuit, since that's where he's going after Vice President Kamala Harris is elected President!
An editorial in The Las Vegas Sun yesterday wrote that Trump is “crippled cognitively and showing clear signs of mental illness.”

The next President of the United States of America: Kamala Harris!
Next Tuesday Kamala Harris will be elected as the next President of the United States of America!
The reasons are threefold: the unity, the economy, and the bullshit.
First, Kamala Harris has a much-needed platform of unity for our country, something diametrically opposite of the platform of Trump, the vindictive, revengeful, unhinged, unstable, and traitorous felon.
Second, every economic indicator is going in the right direction under the Democrats – inflation, employment, wages, GDP growth and on and on. Investors have sent stock markets soaring scores of times this year alone. The US economy is the envy of the world. Biden and Harris have pulled off a miracle after the economic devastation inherited from four years under Trump. The economy is humming along so well that you’d think it wouldn’t be a top issue on voters minds, but it is; and this is due to a few things. First, Trump's MAGA Maggot respondents to opinion polls lie about the economy. Second, Trump and his allies lie about the economy. Third, prices, especially the cost of food and housing, are so high that they give those lies about the economy the appearance of being true. Put all these pieces together and you have an election in which the economy is the top issue even though the economy has rarely been better. Harris is expanding the scope of Biden's policy vision. Whereas Biden was primarily focused on macroeconomics – inflation, employment, growth, etc. – Harris is focused on microeconomics. Biden had to stabilize an economy on the brink after Trump's mismanagement of Covid. Now that it’s stabilized, Harris wants to bring the cost of living down for all. The roaring economy is a feather in the Democrats' hat! Harris is telling voters she wants to broaden that success to include bans on price-gouging, middle-class tax breaks, small-business supports and now expanding Medicare to cover long-term home care for seniors. The Democratic platform is sounding really, really good to lots of people.
Third, voters are tired of Trump's lies, his whining, and his bullshit. Trump is a LOSER in life and in this election. The only place Trump belongs is in prison; not in the White House. Thankfully, Americans have a better option — Kamala Harris — the next President of the United States of America!

Incompetent Trump's economic proposals will bankrupt Social Security within 6 years
More than 67 million Americans collect Social Security benefits. Between 10 million and 16 million older Americans would be in poverty without it, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
If implemented, Trump’s economic proposals could bankrupt this vital, popular program within six years.
Social Security funds its benefits with payroll taxes on working-age Americans. The Congressional Budget Office projects that the trust fund will run out before 2035. At that point, benefits will immediately shrink by more than 20%, around $400 per month per recipient on average. Retirees' benefits would shrink by one-third as soon as 2035.
Since Incompetent Trump has no plan, he has not explained how he would keep Social Security solvent. Worse yet, according to a new analysis from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, every one of Trump’s favorite ideas in this campaign would accelerate Social Security’s time to insolvency and increase the resulting cuts to benefits.
Any list of Trump’s preferred proposals would include: mass deportations of immigrants; large tariffs on all imports; and eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay and Social Security benefits. Taken together, Trump's ideas could be disastrous for Social Security’s future.
Ending taxes on benefits, overtime pay and tips would shrink the program’s revenue streams. The massive tariffs would increase inflation — and therefore the program’s cost-of-living adjustments. Mass deportation of immigrants would remove millions of immigrant wage earners who contribute to Social Security.
The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget reports that in combination, these proposals would empty the Social Security trust fund by 2031, four years ahead of the current trajectory and just six years after Trump takes office.
Trump is an ignorant and incompetent fool who is unfit for any office in the land.

Trump held his fascist rally in Madison Square Garden yesterday
The notorious “Pro-American Rally” of 1939, a pro-Nazi gathering organized by the German American Bund and attended by thousands in the lead-up to World War II, was held in Madison Square Garden. Days later, a Communist Party rally filled the same arena. In 1968, George Wallace, the onetime segregationist governor of Alabama, pushed a law-and-order message in a speech at the Garden days before the presidential election.
Trump, the current day fascist, is following in the footsteps of those previous fascists — his mentors. He held a campaign rally yesterday in Madison Square Garden, inflaming his MAGA Maggot base with dark and hateful rhetoric and falsely believing in his demented mind that he can somehow win this blue state. Trump’s rally was intended to demonstrate his perceived power and to inspire his MAGA base to violence. In reality, it only proved Trump's worthlessness. Trump actually took the stage about two hours late, prompting people to stream toward the exits before he finished speaking. Trump's event drew 19,500 ignorant MAGA Maggots, while Vice President Kamala Harris' rally in Houston, TX drew a much larger, incredible 30,000 people! Trump has averaged crowd sizes of about 5,600 across the 28 rallies he has appeared at this year, while Kamala Harris' average crowd size was 13,400.
At the rally, asshole Trump anchored his bid for reelection on searing anti-migrant fear, and referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage." Six million Puerto Ricans live in the states — about a million in Florida, half a million in Pennsylvania, 100,000 in Georgia, 100,000 in Michigan, 100,000 in North Carolina, 45,000 in Arizona, and 40,000 in Nevada. Puerto Rican superstar musician Bad Bunny, who has more than 45 million followers on Instagram, said he is endorsing Harris. Puerto Rican singer and actor Ricky Martin, with 16 million followers, is endorsing Kamala Harris, as are Jennifer Lopez, with 250 million Instagram followers, Ariana Grande, with 376 million Instagram followers, and singer Luis Fonsi, with 16 million followers. Former Fox News personality Geraldo Rivera, whose father was from Puerto Rico, responded furiously on X where he wrote: “Fuck these racists. A vote for Trump is a vote against self-respect.”
For his rally, Trump, the grifter, offered a series of packages, including VIP suites, tickets to an exclusive “pre event” at the venue, backstage passes and photo opportunities in exchange for lucrative campaign donations.
Trump has vowed to expand presidential power, prosecute his political opponents, and crack down on immigration with mass deportations and detention camps. Trump is determined to undermine the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and use federal troops against U.S. citizens, who he referred to as "the enemy within." Trump also plans to “upend trade” with sweeping new tariffs that will raise consumer prices.
The headlines were brutal. “MAGA speakers unleash ugly rhetoric at Trump's MSG rally,” read Axios. Politico wrote: “Trump’s New York homecoming sparks backlash over racist and vulgar remarks.” “Racist Remarks and Insults Mark Trump’s Madison Square Garden Rally,” the New York Times announced. “Speakers at Trump rally make racist comments, hurl insults,” read CNN.
Vice President Kamala Harris will make her closing argument a full week ahead of Election Day, with a rally this Tuesday evening on the Ellipse in Washington, the site of Trump’s infamous insurrection on January 6, 2021, when he told his crowd to “fight like hell” or they wouldn’t have a country before his mob smashed into the US Capitol to try to subvert the certification of President Joe Biden’s unquestioned election victory. Trump represents an existential threat to American democracy.
Trump is a mentally deranged, incompetent, unhinged, disgraceful, and traitorous FASCIST who Americans need to eliminate via the ballot box on November 5th.

Trump is following Hitler's playbook!
Fascism “is government by the few and for the few. The objective is seizure and control of the economic, political, social, and cultural life of the state. The people run democratic governments, but fascist governments run the people. The basic principles of democracy stand in the way of their desires; hence — democracy must go! Anyone who is not a member of their inner gang has to do what he’s told. They permit no civil liberties, no equality before the law. Fascists 'make their own rules and change them when they choose.' They maintain themselves in power by use of force combined with propaganda, by skillful manipulation of fear and hate, and by false promise of security. Fascists understood that 'the fundamental principle of democracy — faith in the common sense of the common people — was the direct opposite of the fascist principle of rule by the elite few, so they fought democracy…. They played political, religious, social, and economic groups against each other and seized power while these groups struggled.'”
Sound familiar? It should. It sounds exactly like Trump, and Trump sounds exactly like Hitler!
The quote above is from a series of pamphlets published by the War Department in 1945 for U.S. Army personnel in the European theater of World War II, titled Army Talks. On March 24, 1945, the topic for the week was “FASCISM!” Historian Heather Cox Richardson educated us on the Army's series of pamphlets in her posting today, and her posting should be mandatory reading for every American.
None of what Trump is doing is new. Trump has no new ideas, no plans, no platform. Trump's puny narcissistic brain is incapable of original thought. Trump is following the playbook of Adolf Hitler, his mentor.
Americans should not be fooled into thinking that fascism could not come to America, the Army pamphlet warned.
Richardson wrote, "Indeed, the U.S. had experienced sorry instances of mob sadism, lynchings, vigilantism, terror, and suppression of civil liberties. We have had our hooded gangs, Black Legions, Silver Shirts, and racial and religious bigots. All of them, in the name of Americanism, have used undemocratic methods and doctrines which…can be properly identified as ‘fascist.’”
These fascists — Trump's MAGA Maggots — are now trying to gain power under the guise of "super-patriotism" and "super-Americanism." Part of that effort to divide and conquer would be a well-planned "hate campaign" against minority races, religions, and other groups. They are pitting religious, racial, and economic groups against one another to break down national unity.
But beware, Trump's tactics are only a front for "fascism." The Army pamphlet in 1945 warned that it is “vitally important” to learn to spot native fascists, “even though they adopt names and slogans with popular appeal, drape themselves with the American flag, and attempt to carry out their program in the name of the democracy they are trying to destroy. Fascism thrives on indifference and ignorance. Freedom requires being alert and on guard against the infringement not only of our own freedom but the freedom of every American. If we permit discrimination, prejudice, or hate to rob anyone of his democratic rights, our own freedom and all democracy is threatened.” The conservative Republican Right — Trump's MAGA movement — is the modern day fascist movement now attempting to destroy democracy.

The 14 states with the lowest IQs are Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, Arkansas, California, Nevada, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and New Mexico.
Educated people tend to score higher on IQ tests than people who never received an education or who stopped attending classes before reaching college.

This TRAITOROUS PIG is UNFIT for any office
Trump still faces charges of 1) conspiracy to defraud the United States, 2) conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, 3) obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and 4) conspiracy against rights.
Earlier this year Trump was already convicted of 34 felony counts in a separate New York case against him, and has repeatedly claimed without any evidence whatsoever that the justice system is being weaponized against him because he’s running for president. But Trump has suggested on multiple occasions that he would weaponize the justice system against his political rivals if reelected.
Trump has gone so far as to suggest using the military to handle “the enemy from within” on Election Day, saying that he isn’t worried about chaos from his supporters or foreign actors, but instead from “radical-left lunatics.” The only radical lunatic is Trump himself. Vice President Kamala Harris has highlighted Trump’s comments on the campaign trail as she argues he is “unstable,” “unhinged” and out for “unchecked power.”
Trump repeatedly uses fearmongering and bigotry in his rallies, and yesterday this racist and bigot used dehumanizing rhetoric in his speech in Arizona, a state that is 31.6% Latino, saying that our country is a “garbage can” for immigrants and refugees.
On the Hugh Hewitt Show yesterday, Trump boasted that he had “taken the Republican Party and made it into an entirely different party." That's true. Using the same fascist techniques that had boosted Hungarian prime minister Victor Orbán, Trump attacked immigrants, Black Americans, and people of color. Trump and his fascist MAGA Maggot loyalists have turned the Grand Old Party (GOP) into one representing that of Adolf Hitler.
Yesterday, twenty-three Nobel Prize-winning economists warned that Trump’s economic plans would “lead to higher prices, larger deficits, and greater inequality.” Also yesterday, 233 mental health professionals warned in a letter to the public that Trump “appears to be showing signs of cognitive decline that urgently cry out for a full neurological work-up,” and that his untreatable malignant narcissism makes him “grossly unfit for leadership.” Like the filthy rats in Robert Browning's famous narrative poem, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Trump's ignorant MAGA Maggots (a.k.a. 'supporters') are expected to continue to follow their cult leader until they hopefully all meet their fateful demise.
Now there's only one viable choice for President, and it's Vice President Kamala Harris.

Former chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley told veteran journalist Bob Woodward that Trump is a “fascist to the core.”
Retired U.S. Marine Corps general John Kelly, Trump’s longest-serving White House chief of staff, told Anderson Cooper that Trump had spoken admiringly of Adolf Hitler and expressed a desire to have generals like Hitler’s. Kelly continued, saying Trump “met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law.”
CNN was supposed to host another presidential debate last night, but while Vice President Kamala Harris accepted, Trump declined to attend. In place of a debate, CNN invited each candidate to hold a town hall. Harris accepted; Trump declined.
Trump thinks he's better than everyone else and doesn't need to attend these events any longer. Trump is a LOSER.
In last night's CNN town hall, Vice President Harris told Anderson Cooper that she agreed that Trump is a fascist. She noted that when a four-star Marine general comes out two weeks before an election to warn Americans that one of the candidates is a fascist, we should see this as “a 911 call to the American people.” Harris said that Trump is “increasingly unstable and unfit to serve.”
"The people who know Donald Trump best, the people who worked with him in the White House, in the Situation Room, in the Oval Office, all Republicans by the way, who served in his administration, his former chief of staff, his national security advisor, former secretaries of defense, and his vice president have all called him unfit and dangerous. They have said explicitly he has contempt for the Constitution of the United States. They have said he should never again serve as President of the United States,” Harris said.

Trump's claims of non-citizen voting are malicious lies
That's right, folks. Trump's claims of massive non-citizen voting are nothing more than fabricated lies by Trump and his band of MAGA Maggots.
An audit uncovered a mere 20 noncitizens out of 8.2 million registered voters in Georgia, according to findings announced by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger yesterday. Nine of those 20 noncitizens cast ballots several years ago, before ID verification checks were in place, while the other 11 were registered but never actually voted, the audit showed. Election officials canceled their voter registrations and reported them to district attorneys for potential prosecution.
So there you go, Lying Donnie. Your claims are nothing more than lies, fabrications of your own twisted and demented mind, aimed at garnering more support from your ignorant and gullible MAGA Maggots.
Raffensperger, also a Republican, said, “This is the most comprehensive citizenship check ever conducted in the history of Georgia, if not the most comprehensive check ever conducted in the United States. Georgia is a model when it comes to preventing noncitizen voting.”

Trump needs a minimum wage job at McDonald's
Trump needs a minimum wage, part-time job at McDonald's so that he has time go back to high school to learn the definition of a "tariff."
Economists agree that the cost of tariffs is borne directly by American consumers, not by the countries they're imposed upon. Trump refuses to acknowledge the FACT that tariffs do not bring in money from other countries. Trump said he thinks the word “tariff” is as beautiful as “love” or “faith.”
Trump is just plain stupid — that also is a FACT. Tariffs are a tax on ordinary Americans!
Trump obviously did not pay attention in high school (or any time afterwards). Trump believes that putting a high tariff wall around the country will bring in so much foreign money that it will fund domestic programs and bring down the deficit, enabling massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Trump is delusional — another established FACT.
Trump indicated his determination to take the nation’s economy back one hundred and twenty-five years to that of the 1890s, back to a time when capital was concentrated among a few industrialists and financiers. This world view fits the idea of modern Republicans that the government should work to protect the economic power of the wealthy on the “supply side” of the economy with the expectation that they will be able to invest more efficiently in the market than if they were regulated by business or their money taken by taxation. Trump's world view ignores the middle class.
Senior economics reporter Steve Liesman noted on CNBC’s Squawk Box that the conservative American Enterprise Institute said Trump’s proposed tariffs are a TAX HIKE of as much as $3.9 trillion on American consumers.
The Committee for a Responsible Budget noted that Trump’s economic plans would hasten the insolvency of Social Security trust funds by three years, from 2034 to 2031, and would lead to dramatic cuts in every citizen's Social Security benefits — benefits that we citizens already paid for!
Trump is an ignorant fool. He needs to go back to high school to study for his general equivalency degree (GED). The future of America must not be hinged on this ignoramus. Trump must be put out to pasture, or better yet, put in prison where he belongs.

Trump needs a full battery of tests to determine the cause of his dementia
Dr. Allen Dyer, a retired George Washington University psychiatry professor and the psychiatrist who helped craft the 1973 “Goldwater rule,” said he would order a full battery of tests to determine the cause of what he believes could be Trump's dementia. “Trump seems to be progressively cognitively impaired,” said Dr. Dyer.
Dr. Dyer said Trump’s recent behavior warrants medical evaluation, like his apparent inability to remain focused on a single topic or string together complete sentences, for example, or his confusing of people, as he has repeatedly done with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. And more recently, his loss of interest in taking questions at his own campaign event, followed by a demand that his staff play some of his favorite songs while he stood onstage and swayed to the music.
“I find it concerning that he doesn’t complete his sentences, seems to lose track of the question he is trying to answer, or avoid, and that one thought doesn’t lead to another, but appears to veer tangentially off track,” Dr. Dyer said.
Trump has refused to release any medical records heading into next month’s election, even though he would be, were he to win, the oldest president to take the oath of office. Voters deserve to know Trump's condition.
There are currently 440 and counting health care professionals supporting Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris who have warned that Trump’s current condition is worrisome and call on him to release his medical records.
As far back as 2016, Republicans nominated Trump, a conspiracy theorist and habitual liar who, even at age 70 at the time, displayed symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder as laid out in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Trump, of course, in response to news accounts that describe his hour-and-a-half speeches as “rambling,” has said that his stories are a sign of “genius” and has come to call what he does ― going from one topic to another and eventually returning to the original one ― “the weave.” This, of course, is pure bullshit. Trump is mentally unhinged and in cognitive decline. He is unfit for office. To the psychiatrists and psychologists, Trump’s behavior in his public remarks are ticking off the boxes on the list of symptoms warning of dementia.

Trump is "a fascist to the core"
Historian Heather Cox Richardson reported that retired chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley told journalist Bob Woodward that Trump is “a fascist to the core…the most dangerous person to this country.”
Eight days ago, Trump told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that he thought enemies within the United States were more dangerous than foreign adversaries and that he thought the military should stop those “radical left lunatics” on Election Day. These are the words of CITIZEN Trump. Trump is NOT the president. He's not an elected official. Trump is only a citizen like you and me, and yet he wants to use military force — violence — against America's own citizens.
Let's not forget that on January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler took the oath of office, in which he promised Germans he would uphold the constitution, and then took only three months to dismantle that constitution. Hitler's first concentration camp prisoners were his own political opponents, not the Jews. Trump has no plans of his own; he has been using Hitler as his mentor all along.
In 1931 Hitler said, “I will get into power legally” and, once in power, abolish the parliament and the constitution and “found an authority-state, from the lowest cell to the highest instance; everywhere there will be responsibility and authority above, discipline and obedience below.” At the time, American reporter Dorothy Thompson, who was also the wife of Sinclair Lewis, wrote in astonishment, “Imagine a would-be dictator setting out to persuade a sovereign people to vote away their rights.”
This is exactly what the MAGA movement is trying to get us to do — vote away our rights! Don't listen to these misled, ignorant, non-thinking MAGA Maggot lemmings, folks.
Eighty-seven years ago, in 1937, Dorothy Thompson wrote, “No people ever recognize their dictator in advance…. He always represents himself as the instrument for expressing the Incorporated National Will. When Americans think of dictators they always think of some foreign model. If anyone turned up here in a fur hat, boots and a grim look he would be recognized and shunned…. But when our dictator turns up, you can depend on it that he will be one of the boys, and he will stand for everything traditionally American.”

Historian Heather Cox Richardson noted that to anyone paying attention, it is clear that Trump is not in any shape to manage the government of the United States of America. He is canceling interviews and botching the ones he does sit for, while falling asleep at events where he is not actually speaking. He lies incessantly even when hosts point out that his claims have been debunked, and cannot answer a question or follow a train of thought. And his comments of the weekend — calling the vice president a “shit vice president,” telling a woman to get “your fat husband off the couch” to vote for him, and musing about a famous golfer’s penis — indicate that Trump has no mental guardrails left.
The fact that someone on Trump’s campaign leaked to Politico that he is “exhausted” is almost certainly a sign that people down his ranks are deeply concerned about his ability to finish the campaign, let alone run the country. But ignorant party leaders continue to stand behind him.
In 2019 the House of Representatives impeached Trump for his attempt to coerce Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky and for perverting the security of the United States to steal an election. Trump was impeached a second time in January of 2021 for incitement of an insurrection against America. Trump is a traitor who belongs in prison, not up for reelection!
But Trump has been lying that immigrants are eating pets; calling voters fat pigs; basing his economic policy on a backward idea of how tariffs work; calling for prosecuting his enemies and making the civil service, military, and judiciary loyal to him; and praising a famous golfer’s “manhood” — hardly indications of a man able to take on the presidency of the United States, or any other elected or appointed office for that matter.

Trump canceled another appearance yesterday. One of Trump's "advisors" said that Trump is "exhausted."
Democrats are now favored to take the House of Representatives, and Republicans are waging a fierce battle to take control of the Senate, where there are 34 Senate seats on the ballot this year. Democrats are defending 23 of them, while Republicans are defending just 11. Republicans need to pick up one seat to control the Senate if Trump wins the White House, and two if Harris wins.
With Trump steering (read: stealing) funds from the Republican National Committee primarily to himself, Republican Party leaders have actively recruited super-wealthy candidates who could pour their own money into their campaigns. By the end of June, Republican Tim Sheehy from Montana had put $10.7 million into his own race; Republican Bernie Moreno had put in $4.5 million by mid-October. Republican David McCormick had loaned his campaign more than $4 million by the end of June; and Republican Eric Hovde put in $8 million by the end of March. Wealthy Republicans are attempting to buy their Senate seats. This moment echoes the late nineteenth century, when wealthy businessmen sought a Senate seat as a capstone to their success, a perch from which they could protect the interests of other men like themselves. The Daily Beast reported that President Kamala Harris’ interview with Fox News host Bret Baier was a ratings smash—netting over 7.1 million viewers only 20 days before the presidential election in November.
Harris certainly got her message out to viewers during the contentious interview.
Fox News also broadcast an event with Trump on the same day — a town hall in Georgia focused on womens’ issues moderated by Fox News host Harris Faulkner. That event, which was attended only by hand-picked far right conservative women, only saw about 2.9 million viewers. “Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic said Trump’s approval rating among women is “slightly below a yeast infection.”
Latino voters grilled Trump on Wednesday during a town hall hosted by Univision, and if the audience's expressions were anything to go by, his performance was lackluster. At one point Carlos Aguilera, a construction worker from Florida who was born in Cuba, asked Trump if the recent slew of natural disasters and environmental issues battering the Sunshine State had made him reconsider his claims that climate change is a "hoax." Trump, the evader and liar, responded by bragging about his golf courses and once again lying about his environmental record.

Miller apologized to America for helping to “create a monster.” Miller led the team that marketed The Apprentice, the reality TV show that made Trump a household name. “To sell the show,” Miller wrote, “we created the narrative that Trump was a super-successful businessman who lived like royalty.” But the truth was that Trump declared bankruptcy six times, and “[t]he imposing board room where he famously fired contestants was a set, because his real boardroom was too old and shabby for TV,” Miller wrote. “[W]e…did irreparable harm by creating the false image of Trump as a successful leader,” Miller wrote. “I deeply regret that. That's right. Yesterday, in an interview with John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News, Trump proved beyond any doubt what an IGNORAMUS he truly is.
After arriving an hour late to speak before the Economic Club of Chicago, Trump was asked real questions about his approach to the economy. He answered with aimless rants and campaign slogans that Micklethwait corrected, repeatedly redirecting Trump back to his actual questions. Trump quickly grew angry and combative.
When Micklethwait corrected Trump’s misunderstanding of the way tariffs work, Trump replied in front of a room full of people who understand the economy: “It must be hard for you to, you know, spend 25 years talking about tariffs as being negative and then have somebody explain to you that you're totally wrong.” Mickelthwait pointed out to Trump that even the Wall Street Journal's analysis proved that his plans would explode the national debt. Trump replied: “What does the Wall Street Journal know? They’ve been wrong about everything. So have you, by the way….. You’ve been wrong about everything…. You’ve been wrong all your life on this stuff.” The economy is supposed to be Trump’s strong suit. It isn't. Trump has no strong suit. He's a con man and a snake oil salesman.
Journalist David Rothkopf of Deep State Radio wrote: “The past 24 hours seem to have been a dividing line in the Trump campaign...and in Trump. The Atlantic nodded to the free thought on which the magazine was founded in 1857 when it came out strongly for Harris today. Trump secretly supplied Covid-19 tests to Putin while Americans died
Veteran journalist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Bob Woodward reported in his new book, War, that in 2020 Trump secretly shipped Covid-19 testing equipment to Russian president Vladimir Putin for his own personal use at a time when Americans could not get it.
Trump chose to send new point-of-care COVID-19 machines from Abbott Laboratories to Putin. These machines were the fastest way to test for Covid-19 at the time. Trump did not charge Putin for these machines or to negotiate for the release of Paul Whelan and Trevor Reed, two Americans being held by Russia at the time and later released under the Biden administration. Trump gave these machines to Putin rather than keeping them for Americans. Trump is a worthless traitor!
As Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) put it: “What has this country come to if the revelation that Trump secretly sent COVID testing machines to Putin while thousands of Americans were dying, in part because of a shortage of testing machines here, doesn't disqualify him to be President?” He continued: “Donald Trump helped keep Putin alive during the pandemic and let Americans die. This revelation is damning. It's disqualifying. He cannot be President of the United States.”

Taylor Swift, who is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for president, donated $5 million toward relief efforts in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Kamala Harris is ahead of Trump by 6 points!
Vice President Kamala Harris has reached a record-breaking lead over Trump in a newly released poll. The poll, conducted by Morning Consult between October 4 and 6, shows that Harris leads Trump by 6 points, 51 percent to his 45 percent.
According to FiveThirtyEight's poll tracker, Harris holds a 2.6-point national lead over Trump. In pollster Nate Silver's tracker, she is 3 points ahead. The latest New York Times/Siena College poll shows that Harris is ahead of Trump by 3 points among likely voters, 47 percent to his 44 percent.
Both FiveThirtyEight and Nate Silver's tracker also show that Harris leads by 1 to 2 points in battleground states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. FiveThirtyEight's forecast predicts Harris winning in Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, putting her in position to claim the presidency. The polling aggregator predicts she will win 279 electoral votes overall.
Allan Lichtman, the "Nostradamus of polling" who correctly predicted the result of nine out of 10 presidential elections since 1984, predicted last month that Harris will win the election this November.
Believe whatever poll you want, but the end result is that Vice President Kamala Harris is on a path to make Trump the LOSER that he is on election day.
Last night, cowardice Trump broke a fifty-year tradition by backing out of the 60 Minutes interview so his false world would not be challenged by reality. Non-voting Christians spell death for Trump!
Republican commentator Charlie Kirk said millions of born-again and mainline Christians are choosing not to vote in the upcoming election, and that could pose a serious threat to Trump's reelection efforts. Kirk described the situation as a "five-alarm fire" for Trump, noting that 41 million born-again Christians and 32 million mainline Christians are not planning to vote.
"We cannot expect President Trump to have a more Christian ethos if the Church refuses to vote. We cannot expect President Trump to be more pro-life if our own people don't back him up at the ballot box. The local church MUST be activated," Kirk said. The upcoming potential voter shortfall comes at a time when Trump is facing challenges in maintaining support among Christian pastors.
About 8 in 10 white evangelical voters cast a ballot for Trump back in 2020. Trump attempts to politicize Hurricane Helene for his political gain
Trump, the FELON convicted on 34 counts, is now politicizing the response to Hurricane Helene across the US southeast with more of his lies (FACT CHECK here), criticizing the Biden administration’s quick and appropriate response to the widespread devastation caused by the hurricane. Trump’s lies are not errors. They are part of a well-documented strategy to overturn democracy by using modern media to create a false political world. Voters begin to base their political decisions on that fake image, rather than on reality, and are manipulated into giving up control of their government to an authoritarian.
This lowly and incompetent asshole has no right to complain. Let no one forget that when he was president, Trump delayed disaster aid for hurricane-devastated Puerto Rico and diverted money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in order to finance an effort to return undocumented migrants to Mexico. And Trump's Project 2025 would restructure FEMA to limit aid to states.
Mike Johnson, the REPUBLICAN House Speaker, said yesterday that he does not intend to call Congress out of recess to vote on emergency funding for federal agencies assisting in Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. There's the REPUBLICAN non-response to assisting hurricane victims, folks! And these are the pigs you want to vote for?

Trump is now grasping at straws to please everyone
With less than a month to go before the presidential election, Trump, the convicted felon, is now grasping at every straw he can in a desperate, but fruitless, attempt to garner as many votes as possible by making empty promises he cannot fulfill.
Trump's latest rallying cry was saying that if elected he wants to eliminate taxes on retirees' Social Security benefits, along with promising never to make cuts to Social Security. Now that he's desperate for votes in the last days of the campaign, Trump thinks he can deliver on these empty promises, even though he couldn't do so in the four years he was in office.
Senior policy analyst Garrett Watson at the Tax Foundation said, "Exempting Social Security benefits from income tax would cost about $1.6 trillion over 10 years, accelerate insolvency of Social Security and Medicare, and create a new hole in the income tax without a sound policy rationale.” So Trump is just spewing forth more lies that he thinks voters want to hear in order to get votes, with no intention on following through on these promises.
Trump also claims that putting new tariffs of 20% on all imports, and as much as 60% on Chinese imports, will bring enough foreign money into the country to fund things like childcare, end federal budget deficits, and pay for the tax cuts he wants to give to the wealthy and corporations. This is a deliberate lie, and it's pure bullshit. Tariffs are essentially taxes on imported products. Tariffs are paid not by foreign countries but by American consumers. Economists warn that Trump’s tariff plan would cost a typical family an average of more than $2,600 a year, with poorer families hardest hit; spike inflation as high as 20%; result in 50,000 to 70,000 fewer jobs created each month; slow economic growth; and add about $5.8 trillion in deficits over ten years.
Democratic strategist James Carville predicts that the swing states in the 2024 election will nearly all go to one candidate. Carville said that Harris has "an 81-page economic plan. She's agreed to do 60 Minutes, which is the ultimate long-form interview show. Of course, Donald Trump weasels out of the next debate, weasels out of 60 Minutes."

MAGA Maggot Republicans are now lying about the federal response to Hurricane Helene
Historian Heather Cox Richardson said, "MAGA Republicans are now lying about the federal response to Hurricane Helene in much the same way they lied about Haitian migrants bringing chaos and disease to Springfield, Ohio. Both disinformation efforts are flat-out lies, and both are designed to demonize immigrants. Immigration was the issue Trump was so eager to run on that he demanded Republican lawmakers reject the strong border bill a bipartisan group of lawmakers had hammered out."
Conversely, the federal response to Hurricane Helene has drawn bipartisan praise, with Republican governor Henry McMaster of South Carolina thanking President Biden by name for what McMaster called a “superb” response.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, the ignorant QAnon Bitch, is now spewing forth the conspiracy theory that the hurricane was created by someone at the very top, pointing fingers as to who could possibly be behind the weather event, which normal, sane people would understand to be caused by hot air and cold air. “Yes they can control the weather,” Greene wrote in a post on X. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.” (Note: No, Marjorie, what's ridiculous is that there's still anyone out there who is stupid enough to still believe the wild, baseless bullshit that spews forth from your vile mouth.)
Greene is so incredibly stupid that she believes that Democrats somehow created the storm to try and harm Republican voters, and MAGA Maggot voters are so ignorant that they believe Greene's bullshit. This is a significant and grotesque escalation from Trump’s already wild theory that the Biden administration purposefully neglected Republican areas in its federal response to the storm. Of course, the only person who had ever done something like that is Trump himself, who withheld aid to California after the deadly wildfires in 2018, until his team could provide polling that people there had in fact voted for him.

It's time to prosecute the traitor!
Trump, the TRAITOR, has evaded prison long enough. It's time that Trump pays his debt to the citizens of America whose votes he attempted to deny.
Prosecutor Jack Smith is the perfect person to prove Trump's guilt.
Smith released his 165-page dossier of evidence on Thursday in Trump's election fraud case, and the special counsel relied heavily on Trump-nominated Justice Amy Coney Barrett's opinion in the Supreme Court's July 1 ruling on presidential immunity when she said that some of Trump's acts as president could be considered private, and not subject to immunity. Smith's filing revealed new details about Trump’s efforts to remain in power as it became clear he had lost the race to now-President Biden.
Specifically, Justice Barrett said, "The defendant's conduct with respect to the elector scheme is inherently private, and not subject to immunity. Sorting private from official conduct sometimes will be difficult—but not always. Take the President's alleged attempt to organize alternative slates of electors. In my view, that conduct is private and therefore not entitled to protection."
While siding with the 6-3 Supreme Court majority in finding that Trump had broad immunity from prosecution, Justice Barrett broke with the majority in finding that Trump's official acts could be used as evidence against him while prosecuting him for private behavior.
New York University School of Law professor Stephen Gillers told Newsweek that much of Smith's filing "concerns Trump's behavior as a candidate, not as president. The president has no role in deciding the result of the election."
Trump is accused of:
- conspiracy to defraud the United States
- conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding
- obstruction and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding
- conspiracy against rights in connection with an alleged pressure campaign on state officials to reverse the 2020 election results
It's past due time that Trump be locked in prison to pay for his crimes against the voters of America whose votes he tried to deny.

The smart ones know! 12 states switch to Kamala Harris
Newsweek reported that 12 states have trended towards Kamala Harris in the past month, according to statistician and pollster Nate Silver's forecast. They include Michigan, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and New Hampshire, as well as Virginia, Montana, Ohio, Nebraska's 2nd district, Washington and Missouri. Nebraska's 2nd district, which voted Democrat in the last election, has seen the biggest trend towards the Democrats in the past month, moving 3.1 points towards the party.
Republican vice president candidate JD Vance lied throughout the debate Tuesday evening and has lied throughout this campaign, and in that, he is following the MAGA Republicans and Trump, who has become entirely untethered from reality. And Trump’s growing mental incapacity was obvious in two rallies yesterday where he made a “wide-ranging journey through conspiracy theories, hatred, and nonsense.” He “seems ever more adrift in his own fog of hate and ego,” Aaron Rupar and Noah Berlatsky wrote in Public Notice. “He mixes up world leaders, confuses countries, garbles pronouns, loses track of his nonsense talking points,” they wrote.
Trump, the convicted felon, knows that his days are numbered before he goes to prison and thankfully gets forgotten for the rest of time.

Forget the VP debate — listen to Trump's lying, childish comments instead
Newsweek and other media outlets reported that the debate between the two vice presidential candidates was civil, with no clear winner. But for millions of voters, it was Trump's moronic and imbecilic comments afterwards that proved Trump is unfit for the office of president.
Trump, the candidate with the mental capacity of a two-year-old, once again lashed out at the Democrats with his lies, saying, "JD Vance just CRUSHED Tampon Tim with the FACTS. America was GREAT when I was President, and we will Make America Great Again after we win on November 5th!"
Chicken-shit Trump backed out of a scheduled interview with 60 Minutes that correspondent Scott Pelley was slated to conduct on Thursday. 60 Minutes noted that for more than 50 years, the show has invited both campaigns to appear on the broadcast before the election and this year, both campaigns agreed to an interview. Trump’s spokesperson complained that 60 Minutes “insisted on doing live fact checking, which is unprecedented.” Vice President Kamala Harris will participate in her interview as planned, while Trump is the LOSER. He is afraid of anyone fact checking his obviously false narrative filled with nothing but lies. While the VP debate was going on, disgraced Trump was texting about the death of disgraced baseball player Pete Rose who died the day before.
It's now up to the American public to decide if we want to be represented by a proven leader like Kamala Harris or a blowhard, a liar, a convicted felon, a malignant narcissist, a sexual abuser, and a LOSER like Trump.

Trump is being chased for unpaid rally debts
Trump has no problem scheduling and holding rallies around the country, but he is not paying his bills.
Newsweek reported that authorities in Erie, Pennsylvania, are still seeking $40,330 from Trump's presidential campaign to pay for assistance they provided for his 2018 and 2023 campaign visits, bringing the total debt five cities say Trump owes them to over $740,000.
Erie, PA is also calculating a currently undisclosed figure related to the rally Trump held at the city's Bayfront Convention Center this past Sunday, which could push the total unpaid debt figure beyond $740,330.
A 2019 report from the Center for Public Integrity found 10 city authorities were demanding a total of $841,219 as back payments for historic Trump rallies they helped stage.
Trump is a con man, a scam artist, and a snake oil salesman — he will cheat you if he can.

Esteemed President Jimmy Carter reaches 100
President Jimmy Carter was born 100 years ago, and arrived just after the worst wind and rainstorm of the year passed off to sea. His home state of Georgia, along with North Carolina and Virginia, sustained significant damage, with railroad tracks and bridges washed out, crops damaged, and at least seven lives lost.
Today, almost a hundred years to the day later, Hurricane Helene has become the latest topic of disinformation for Trump's MAGA Maggots. Social media today is full of MAGA accounts claiming that the federal government is not responding to the crisis in western North Carolina because it prefers to spend money in Ukraine and on undocumented immigrants. Newsmax host Todd Starnes claimed that FEMA’s “top priority is not disaster relief” but to push diversity, equity and inclusion.
Such posts echo Russian disinformation, and Trump is on board with it, using it in his rallies and for fundraising.
Let's not forget that Trump repeatedly withheld federal aid from Democratic governors — including that of North Carolina — after disasters in their states. After the Trump campaign organized a fundraiser for victims of the hurricane, David Frum of The Atlantic reminded readers that in 2019, Trump was fined $2 million and three of his children were ordered to take classes as a penalty for taking for their own use funds from charities they ran.
So, as we enter the month of October, let's focus on esteemed President Jimmy Carter reaching 100 years old and remember his graciousness, his charity, his charisma, and his leadership. After his term in office, President Carter got his hands dirty building houses, took on peace missions to Cuba and the Middle East, negotiated the release of hostages, lived in his home town, taught Sunday school and college classes, wrote books, and won Grammys.
