Pediatric COVID hospitalizations up 48% in one week
The virus has found a new niche. The Omicron variant is spreading rapidly, with pediatric COVID hospitalizations up 48% in the last week.
The highly transmissible Omicron variant is teaming up with the busy holiday season to infect more children across the United States than ever before, and children's hospitals are bracing for it to get even worse.
Dr. Stanley Spinner, chief medical officer and vice president at Texas Children's Pediatrics & Urgent Care in Houston, said, "Cases are continuing to rise between Christmas gatherings and we're going to continue to see more numbers this week from that. Now we're going to have New Year's on top of that this coming weekend, with more people getting together — more exposures and then those numbers will continue to climb."
Kids without a choice being forced to mix with the defiant and irresponsible unvaccinated adults who know better is a recipe for disaster. Many of these children are under five and therefore too young for the vaccine. Some are old enough but not vaccinated at all due to anti-vaxxer parents.
All ages of children are affected, from babies to teenagers, the pediatricians agreed. Dr. Jennifer Owensby of the pediatric critical care division at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School said she is worried about multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, or MIS-C, which is marked by inflammation of the heart and other organs. The CDC reports 5,973 MIS-C cases so far, and 52 children have died from it.
Who's at fault here? Irresponsible, unvaccinated parents! Kids who are eligible need to be vaccinated now.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, the ignorant QAnon Bitch, showed her true colors yet again while trying to diminish the meaning of Kwanzaa. Taylor made her latest statement, revealing her ignorance, while responding to a tweet from the College Republicans group, which tweeted "wishing you a happy and prosperous Kwanza."
"Stop. It’s a fake religion created by a psychopath," the conservative bitch said in response to the tweet. "You aren’t bringing in new voters, you are turning them away. People are tired of pandering and BS."
America is tired of this ignorant bitch.
Numerous social media users tried to educate Greene, first informing her that Kwanzaa is not a religion.

The unvaccinated are responsible for their own choices
Reuters has reported that a politically motivated disinformation campaign has helped fuel skepticism about the safety of vaccines in the United States against overwhelming medical evidence that shows they work and pose little risk. One in four American adults is not vaccinated.
President Joe Biden accused unspecified cable television personalities and social media companies of making money by "peddling lies" about COVID-19 vaccines and spreading misinformation that can kill their viewers and followers.
Although the president did not identify any person or company by name, in the past he has been critical of Fox News and the network's night-time hosts Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. Biden previously criticized Facebook for allowing posts that spread vaccine falsehoods.
"You know, these companies and personalities are making money by peddling lies and allowing misinformation that can kill their own customers and their own supporters," Biden said.
The president said, "The unvaccinated are responsible for their own choices."
The seven-day average of new daily cases was 237,061 as of yesterday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. That's up from an average of 86,203 new daily cases at the beginning of the month. "I think we're going to see half a million cases a day — easy — sometime over the next week to 10 days," said CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner. Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of the Brown University School of Public Health, said most people who are vaccinated and boosted won't get severe illness, but that won't be true for the unvaccinated.
The anti-vaxxers are sealing their own short futures with their stupidity and their defiance. If the anti-vaxxers die, they die.

Time for a lockdown
First, and most important, save your life and get your vaccinations and booster!
Health officials are warning that the United States will probably see record numbers of coronavirus cases, hospitalizations and deaths as the omicron variant continues to spread rapidly. The omicron variant is “extraordinary” in its transmissibility, with a doubling time of two to three days.
Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, said that cases will rise steeply over the next couple of weeks and that the country could soon see 1 million new cases a day tied to the omicron variant, dramatically exceeding the record of about 250,000 new cases per day set in January.
The anti-vaxxers and those who aren't wearing masks or who wear them improperly are causing the virus to spread. Just walk into any store and you'll see people who know better wearing their masks like "chin diapers" or with their noses hanging out like "dick masks," having the effect of not wearing a mask at all. Who do they think they're fooling? Only themselves. So maybe it's time for the administration to take the steps necessary to protect people from their own stupidity by locking down the country for a month or two to halt the spread of this virus.
The ignorant, right-wing Trump cultists will inevitably complain about their "rights" being infringed upon, but the rights of those of us who are vaccinated and who know how to wear a mask properly are being denied by the ignorant and/or the defiant. We're in the midst of a world-wide health crisis, and protecting the health of Americans and getting rid of the virus supersedes the "rights" of the ignorant who are allowing COVID to spread.

Another vocal anti-vaxxer on a ventilator after QAnon rally
Ho hum. Podcaster Doug Kuzma, another Trump supporter known for his anti-vaccine stance, is in the hospital on a ventilator due to COVID-19 after attending a right-wing QAnon-friendly conference in Texas earlier this month.
QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory that has promulgated numerous false claims regarding COVID, the 2020 presidential election and more. The movement has also spread the baseless allegation that Democrats are complicit in the running of a global child sex trafficking ring.
Kuzma shared a photo a week ago posing with stores of dewormer Ivermectin and other chemicals after the three-day event at the Elevate Life Church that featured Trump’s short-time national security adviser and felon Michael Flynn, Trump's son Eric, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and Sidney Powell, the attorney who spread false, fantastical claims of widespread election fraud amid the 2020 election cycle.
A number of individuals who fell ill with COVID-like symptoms after attending the same Dallas event have claimed without evidence that they were somehow poisoned with anthrax rather than contracting COVID because few were likely vaccinated or wearing masks at the large, crowded event.
Question: When will the anti-vaxxers learn? Answers: 1) Never, or 2) On their deathbeds. In either case, the herd is being thinned because of the anti-vaxxers' defiance and stupidity. If they die, they die. Their untimely deaths are preventable, but they've made their own choices.
Anti-vaxxers continuously claim they have "rights." These people have no realization that there are only limited personal rights when one lives in a communal society. Certain language, for example, is not permitted in certain places, like screaming "fire" in a crowded movie theater. One must respect traffic rules. One has to act with a certain behavior or conduct when out in public. There are many other personal rights that we do not have. The concept of "personal rights" regarding these lifesaving vaccines began when Trump, America's #1 Idiot, told the nation that the pandemic would end "like a miracle" in April 2020 when the weather got warmer. It didn't.

It's been well over a year since the 2020 presidential election and approaching a year since Trump's insurrection to attempt to stop Congress' constitutional duty of confirming our new president at our nation's Capitol on Jan. 6th, and yet Trump and his juvenile and ignorant cult members (aka "supporters") are still whining about baseless claims of election fraud.
Trump's cult members are still trying to make a concerted, but unsuccessful and baseless effort to suggest that the violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6 was somehow not directly a function of Trump. Yet people bedecked in gear with Trump’s name and slogans all over it who were subsequently arrested for their involvement in the violence have repeatedly identified Trump and his rhetoric as the impetus.
FACT: Despite efforts to convince the country and the courts otherwise, Trump, the malignant narcissist, did not win reelection. Joe Biden beat Trump by nearly 8 million votes (81,282,903 to 74,223,030), with Biden having received 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232!
FACT: With over 81 million votes cast, Joe Biden won in an election where there were more votes cast than in any election in our nation's history.
Face the facts, Republican cultists — Trump is a LOSER in politics, in business, and in life; and those who follow the LOSER are LOSERS like him.

Trump, the nations's #1 asshole who pushed dangerous chemicals like bleach, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin as cures for COVID-19, is now telling his cult members (aka supporters) to get the vaccine.

Trump is also seeking personal credit for vaccine development.
Imagine if Trump had taken this vocally pro-vaccine stance some months ago, building trust in the vaccine back then instead of making idiotic statements like this: "People are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don't trust the Administration, they don't trust the Election results, and they certainly don't trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth," he said in a statement back in July as the Delta variant was taking hold.
Stupidity is not illegal in America. Four in 10 Republicans remain unvaccinated, much less boosted, according to November data from the Kaiser Family Foundation. Most unvaccinated Americans either belong to or lean to the GOP, according to CNN's Ariel Edwards-Levy. She cites research that suggests not even Trump's all-too-late endorsement is likely to change the minds of holdouts.
Trump is an asshole. He knows it. We know it. The world knows it.

A powerful group close to Manchin's heart is urging him to reconsider his opposition to the Build Back Better Act: Coal miners. America's largest coal mining union put out a statement lauding President Biden's legislation and is pushing Manchin to take a do-over.
"We are disappointed that the bill will not pass," Cecil Roberts, president of the United Mine Workers of America, said in the statement. "We urge Senator Manchin to revisit his opposition to this legislation and work with his colleagues to pass something that will help keep coal miners working, and have a meaningful impact on our members, their families and their communities."

Trump, the fascist pig, is doing what he does best, namely wasting time and money by getting the courts to fight his frivolous battles. This time he's suing New York Attorney General Letitia James, seeking to halt her office's long-running investigation into his company.
Trump claims the attorney general's two-year-long financial fraud probe is politically motivated and in violation of his rights. James' office is seeking to depose the former president as soon as next month.
Attorney General James accused Trump and his company of seeking "to delay our investigation into its business dealings." This is part of Trump's ongoing methodology — delay, delay, delay. We've seen it over and over.
"To be clear, neither Mr. Trump nor the Trump Organization get to dictate if and where they will answer for their actions. Our investigation will continue undeterred because no one is above the law, not even someone with the name Trump," James said.

Hero Police Officer Joins CNN
Michael Fanone, the 20-year veteran Washington, D.C. police officer and hero who was beaten unconscious by Trump's cult members during their insurrection at our nation's Capitol on January 6, 2021, is joining CNN as an on-air contributor on law enforcement issues in 2022.
This is very good news. Fanone will now have a loud voice on a respected, nationwide news platform on which to further expose Trump and his band of fascist cult members.
Michael Fanone was knocked unconscious and badly injured in the attack at the Capitol and later appeared on cable news shows to warn of what he called the threat to democracy posed by people like the rioters.
Our congratulations to Fanone! We wish him well in his new position where hopefully his voice will assist in trouncing the far right extremists who are out to destroy democracy in our nation.

Himalayan glaciers melting because of global warming
In spite of the lies being spread by Trump, the nation's #1 Asshole and LOSER, human-made climate change is threatening our planet. A new study released by the University of Leeds revealed that Himalayan glaciers are shrinking far more rapidly than glaciers in other parts of the world. "Ice is now being lost from Himalayan glaciers at a rate that is at least 10 times higher than the average rate over past centuries," said Jonathan Carrivick, the study's lead author. "This acceleration in the rate of loss has only emerged within the last few decades and coincides with human-induced climate change,” Carrivick said.
Of course, we expect Trump, who has no knowledge in this field and who believes no one but his own alternate and warped sense of reality, to deny such facts. Even more shocking are Trump's legions of non-thinking cult members (aka "supporters") who blindly believe the incessant lies that spew forth from Trump's lips.
The Himalayan mountain range is home to the world’s third-largest amount of glacier ice, and is a critical source of water for about 250 million people in the mountains and an additional 1.65 billion who live in the river valleys below.
Man-made climate change is caused by the burning of fossil fuels such as gas, coal and oil, which release greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane into the atmosphere. This extra CO2 causes temperatures of the atmosphere and oceans to rise to levels that scientists say can't be explained by natural causes.
The University of Leeds study first appeared in the journal Scientific Reports, a peer-reviewed publication.

Another Trump-Supporting Senator Dies of COVID
The Huffington Post has reported that Doug Ericksen, the Republican senator from Washington state, has died of Covid-19 at the young age of 52.
Ericksen was a former leader of Trump's campaign in Washington. He also was an outspoken critic of COVID-19 emergency orders mandated by Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee, and had introduced legislation aimed at protecting the rights of people who do not wish to get vaccinated.
Are there any anti-vaxxers out there with a brain in their heads who have the ability to put two and two together? Get vaccinated or you can protest your way to the grave!

When will gun violence end? Probably never.
24/7 Wall St. has reported that the country where people own the most guns is one with comparatively few restrictions on the purchase of firearms: the United States of America. There were approximately 857 million civilian-held firearms in the world at the end of 2017, with the U.S. topping the list for both total firearms and firearms per resident at 339,300,000, amounting to 120.5 guns for every 100 residents — more guns than people in the U.S.
Some of the consequences of gun ownership in America have been terrible. According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been 40,681 gun deaths this year in the U.S., some 21,912 of which were suicides. The same source reports that there have been 646 mass shootings in America this year.
Based on recent battles over gun laws in the U.S, the ability to obtain guns is not likely to be curtailed.

Two-faced Republican Fox News Hosts Spread Lies
Business Insider reported that text messages released by the January 6 House select committee showed that Fox News hosts were among those urging the former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to get then-President Donald Trump to call off his supporters as they swarmed the Capitol.
Sean Hannity, the lying, two-faced Republican talk show host on Fox News who is a longtime friend and confidant to Trump, texted White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to try to get Trump to call off his supporters during his insurrection. Laura Ingraham, a network host and hardline Trump ally, echoed Hannity's request. Brian Kilmeade, a host of Fox & Friends, texted: "Please, get him on TV. Destroying everything you have accomplished."
All of their attempts failed. Trump, the traitorous insurgent, did nothing.
However, as all three spineless, brown-nosing Trump cultists went on air that night, their focus shifted the blame away from Trump and his insurgents and instead played up baseless theories that the damage that was done was mainly the fault of left-wing groups. Idiot Tucker Carlson even claimed that law enforcement had instigated the violence. It's quite obvious, as one viewer succinctly put it, "Fox 'News' is deliberately trying to dismantle and underscore the public's faith in our democratic institutions each and every day." The Fox propaganda machine is using a chapter right out of the playbook of Joseph Goebbels, the minister of propaganda for the German Third Reich under Adolf Hitler. Read your history, folks!

"Stupid is as stupid does"
sheknows has reported that it was Ivanka Trump who was behind her father's idiotic Bible photo-op stunt in front of St. John's Church in Washington, D.C. that rightfully backfired during the Black Lives Matter protest.
Forrest Gump said it best: "Stupid is as stupid does." Apples don't fall far from the tree. Ivanka is as stupid, or even more stupid, than her father. So now we see that it runs in the family.
Trump's former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has a new book out that reported that Ivanka wanted to get support from the “people of faith” who followed the Trump administration because everyone in the White House grew concerned about the growing crowds around the historic building. With some damage already done to the church structure, including a smashed window and a small fire in the basement, they decided to take action.
According to Meadows, Ivanka formulated a plan and suggested her father “give his address in the Rose Garden as planned, and then lead a group of his closest aides and advisors over to St. John’s Church, where he would deliver a short message to the American people.”
Ivanka felt it would symbolize that “law and order would prevail” and align Trump voters by sending “a message to people of faith.” It didn't.
Ivanka's plan failed. It only revealed the stupidity of both Trump and his daughter. Stupidity is obviously genetic.

Trump loses again!
A federal judge threw out a lawsuit filed by Trump, who was trying to block the release of his tax records to Congress.
Trump asked the court that his tax papers be shielded. Trump expected Judge McFadden, who he appointed, to rule that the requests for his tax papers were "unlawful and unenforceable because they lack a legitimate legislative purpose," and were instead motivated by politics.
Surprise, surprise. Instead, Judge McFadden refused that request, citing the "narrow" role the judicial branch has in restricting the power of a Congressional committee.
"The Committee need only state a valid legislative purpose. It has done so. A faithful application of binding precedent blocks the Court from any further analysis, whatever [Mr. Trump] might say about the motives behind the Committee's request," ruled Judge McFadden.
Asshole Trump filed notice Wednesday that he is appealing McFadden's decision.

Trump — A Fraud
The New York Times is reporting that prosecutors in Manhattan are investigating whether Trump used fraudulent financial documents to obtain loans and boast about his wealth. The question at the heart of the matter is whether or not he inflated the value of his assets to defraud his lenders.
Prosecutors in the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., have questioned one of Trump’s accountants as well as his longtime banker as part of their examination of the financial statements. A defining feature of Trump’s public persona — his penchant for hyperbole — was so extreme and intentional when dealing with his lenders that it quite possibly crossed the line into fraud. The prosecutors are examining the possibility that Trump and his deputies at his company cherry-picked favorable information — and ignored data that ran counter to it — to essentially mislead the accountants into presenting an overly rosy picture of his finances. The numbers could implicate Trump on the charge of fraud.
Trump's accountants disclosed that, while compiling the information for Trump, they had “become aware of departures from accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.”
Trump has criticized the district attorney's investigation as a political witch hunt. Trump deployed a similar defense in the past, chalking up any financial inconsistencies to “an innocent form of exaggeration,” as he called it in his 1987 book “The Art of the Deal.”
Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer and fixer, said, "Trump inflated his total assets when it served his purposes such as trying to be listed amongst the wealthiest people in Forbes and deflated his assets to reduce his real estate taxes.”
Simply put, Trump is scum.

Eleven candidates infinitely better than Trump
In deciding on the title for this posting, I toyed with "Eleven candidates infinitely more qualified than Trump," but then I quickly realized that anyone and everyone on planet Earth is far more qualified than Trump — that goes without saying and is not even arguable. But which candidates have a chance of winning the presidential election against Trump?
The following comes from the analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large.
Below, Cillizza looks at the most commonly mentioned names for 2024 contenders and a single line on their viability. Any of the candidates below would make for a better president than Trump, the mentally deficient malignant narcissist.
* Kamala Harris: She's undoubtedly struggled as vice president but she's still the most likely Democrat not named Biden to wind up as the Democratic nominee in 2024.
* Pete Buttigieg: The most naturally talented candidate in the 2024 field, "Mayor Pete" has also been front and center selling Biden's infrastructure bill.
* Elizabeth Warren: The Massachusetts senator is still popular among liberals -- and wouldn't be splitting the vote with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders this time around like she did in 2020.
* Amy Klobuchar: Other than Buttigieg, the Minnesota senator was probably the best regarded of the losing candidates in 2020 -- and her Midwest roots are always a plus given the electoral map.
* Roy Cooper: Term-limited out of office in 2024, the North Carolina governor has ample time to consider his next step -- starting with his service as the vice chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.
* Mitch Landrieu: Being tasked with implementing the infrastructure bill is a big (and high-profile) job that the former New Orleans mayor has taken to with relish.
* Gina Raimondo: She made the leap from Rhode Island governor to Biden administration commerce secretary but doubts remain as to whether she is too moderate to win a Democratic primary in this moment.
* Gretchen Whitmer: The Michigan governor needs to win what could be a tough reelection race next year before she can turn to considering a national run in earnest.
* Phil Murphy: The record of New Jersey governors running for president isn't great of late (sorry, Chris Christie!) but Murphy could use the next few years of his governorship as a testing ground for some national policies for the party.
* J.B. Pritzker: Pritzker has two things going for him -- 1) He's the governor of a major Midwestern state (Illinois) and 2) he's very, very rich.
* Stacey Abrams: Abrams talked openly about running in 2020 before passing on the race; but she needs to win the Georgia governor's mansion in 2022 before thinking too much about 2024.

Over 800,000 COVID deaths in the U.S. because of Trump and his ignorant anti-vaxxers!
The United States hit a sad milestone today — over 800,000 Americans have now died of COVID-19, with more than 50 million cases having been reported.
1 in 100 people 65 years old or older have died of COVID-19, the New York Times reported.
Sadly, the United States ranks 58th in its full-vaccination rate (61.5 percent), out of about 180 countries for which Johns Hopkins has data. The low rate in the United States is shy of almost all of Western Europe, along with Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
Trump and his ass-sniffing Republicans have long opposed mask and vaccine requirements, argued against other coronavirus mitigation measures, and have made the pandemic a "political" rather than a "health" issue. As a result Americans have been paying the price with their lives. Trump should be locked in a small cage for the rest of his life.
Republicans are speaking of the pandemic in something amounting to the past tense, while the pandemic continues to spread unchecked throughout the country. The virus is decidedly not done with America, but we should all be done with Republicans.

Hillary Clinton said, "I think that could be the end of our democracy. Not to be too pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this could be a make-or-break point. If Trump or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president, especially if he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country."
Trump would attempt to make America a dictatorship instead of the free republic it's been for the past 245 years.
Clinton asked "Are we going to give in to all these lies and this disinformation and this organized effort to undermine our rule of law and our institutions, or are we going to stand up to it?"
The citizens must stand up against Trump, the treasonous and mentally deficient autocrat, even to the point of a citizens' uprising or coup to remove this "cancer" from office.

KTLA-TV in Los Angeles has reported that a would-be victim fought back, turned the tide on an armed thug, and shot and killed him on the spot.

Police said that a man confronted at gunpoint by three robbers near the University of Southern California (USC) fought back, shooting and killing one of them yesterday.
The three armed men, all in their 20s, got out of a vehicle and approached the other man and attempted to rob him. The man resisted and fought back. When one of the would-be robbers dropped his handgun, the victim picked it up and shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two robbers fled in their car.
This is exactly how citizens should mete out justice against such vermin! Street justice — quick and effective.

Last night there were three armed robberies in Chicago. They all happened just moments apart and within about a mile. In each case men and women were walking down the street when a dark colored sedan pulled alongside them. Three men with handguns got out and demanded the victims’ purses, wallets and cell phones, then got back in the car and drove away.
Where was the increased presence of the police that Chicago's mayor has been "advertising?" Answer: nowhere to be found.
We could have permanently gotten rid of three more useless thugs if these unfortunate victims had concealed weapons with which to even the odds and fight back.

More GOP proof of NO election fraud
Idiot Trump's nonsensical and delusional claims of election fraud have been tossed out in more than 50 lawsuits. Why? Because there was no election fraud. Election audits in a number of swing states that Trump lost found no evidence of widespread fraud. William Barr, Trump's Attorney General at the time, reached the same conclusion.
Now, a right-wing Republican group in Wisconsin has come to the same conclusion. The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) recently released the results of a 10 month investigation of approximately 20 thousand ballots and nearly 30 thousand absentee ballot envelopes. The conclusion: "There was no evidence of widespread voter fraud. In all likelihood, more eligible voters cast ballots for Joe Biden than Donald Trump. We found little direct evidence of fraud, and for the most part, an analysis of the results and voting patterns does not give rise to an inference of fraud."
As one savvy texter stated: "The whole stolen election was a scam and grift by Trump and his crew at the cost of damaging the republic. Trump has raised hundreds of millions from this."
But the group's findings aren't likely to sway the most devout, low-IQ, ignorant pro-Trump cult member conspiracy theorists. They're going to continue to adopt Trump's fake news like the stupid, non-thinking bobble-heads that they are until we extinguish their flame. Millions of myopic Americans continue to support, with an evangelical fervor, a crass, calculating charlatan who, since his overwhelming defeat more than a year ago, has slipped further into madness and a thicket of crazed conspiracy theories.
Having Trump back in office would be an incurable cancer for America! The already irreparable damage and harm that this demonic demagogue and unabashed fascist has exacted on enlightened America and the rest of sentient life on earth stand as a blunt harbinger of the alarming scope and significance of the damage and harm to come.

Former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows turned over a PowerPoint presentation to the House select committee investigating the January 6th Capitol attack that both detailed and recommended ways for Trump to stage a coup and declare a national security emergency in order to return himself to the presidency. The PowerPoint, titled “Election Fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 Jan,” was based on lies and debunked conspiracies about widespread election fraud.
The PowerPoint also outlined three options for then vice-president Mike Pence to abuse his largely ceremonial role at the joint session of Congress on January 6th, when Biden was to be certified president, and unilaterally return Trump to the White House.
House investigators said that they became aware of the PowerPoint after it surfaced in more than 6,000 documents Meadows turned over to the select committee.

Two Trump Ass-Sniffers and Traitors to America favor "shock troops"
Insider has reported that Matt Gaetz and Steve Bannon, two of Trump's ass-sniffing insurrectionists, said an 'army of patriots' and 'shock troops' should take over the government if Trump runs and wins in 2024.
Gaetz, the Republican congressman from Florida who is under investigation for allegedly having sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl, as well as paying and/or giving gifts to underage girls for sex, said, "People didn't like that Donald Trump raised his voice, but sometimes you gotta raise your voice to raise a ruckus and to raise an army of patriots who love this country and will fight for her."
OK, we'll raise our voice: Go to hell, Matt Gaetz!
Bannon, who faces two criminal contempt-of-Congress charges, said, "This is Trumpism in power. That's when we went to the 4,000 shock troops we have to have that's going to man the government. Get them ready now. We're going to hit the beach with the landing teams and the beachhead teams and all that nomenclature they use when President Trump wins in 2024 — or before." Bannon went on to suggest that these 4,000 shock troops would then become "political appointees."
Representatives for these despicable lowlifes did not respond to requests for comment from Insider.

Citizens wait nearly an hour for police to respond
After a 72-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint in the city of Chicago this weekend, it took police nearly an hour to respond to the 9-1-1 emergency call. This is unacceptable.
In a scene captured on surveillance video, the victim was heading toward his Jeep Grand Cherokee when he was assaulted by two men. They dragged him out of his car and pointed a pistol at the side of his head.
There have been over 1,700 carjackings in Chicago so far this year, and the police have proven that they are ineffective in preventing them. Therefore, it's time that citizens take matters into their own hands when possible.
When a thug accosts you on the street at gunpoint and threatens your life, and the police are not there to assist you, then it's time for you to shoot to kill. Eliminate the thug.
If you're not comfortable with a gun and want to fight back, then at least give yourself a fighting chance with a stun gun, a taser, bear spray, a switchblade, a Byrna Launcher, or even a long metal 6-cell MagLite flashlight. Victimize the victimizer!
The police will undoubtedly not agree with citizens using any of these "helpers," but our response is where were the police who were supposedly there to "serve and protect" any of the 1,700 carjacking victims?

Stop flash-mob thefts with bear spray
So far police have been ineffective in stopping smash-and-grab and flash-mob thefts in cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles. Groups of thieves have been boldly entering businesses during daylight business hours and simply stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars of products with little to no deterrence.
Bear spray, a chemical irritant similar to pepper spray but more potent, would be one effective method for security guards to use to stop and catch these thieves.
But even when criminals are caught, the criminal justice system is to blame for allowing the suspects to go free as they await their day in court, along with pantywaist judges who merely slap the thieves on the hand and release them back onto the streets to rob again.
It's time that businesses and citizens even the odds to stop these thieves at all costs.

Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massie posted this "Christmas photo" on Twitter AFTER last week's latest mass killing of four high school students by the 15-year-old shooter in Michigan, and after 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two people with an assault rifle in Kenosha, WI. What part of Christmas does assault rifle carrying idiots represent?
But Massie didn't see anything wrong with his posting, and therein is the problem. What was Massie and his family thinking? Answer: They weren't thinking. They're obviously not capable of thinking. Massie has only put his low IQ on full display. Massie is displaying a combination of cruelty, heartlessness and extremism that has come to define today's dysfunctional Republican party.
Manuel Oliver, whose son Joaquin died in the Parkland school shooting, said, ""This is also something that should teach us who should we elect and not." Exactly correct.
Dean Obeidallah from CNN said, "Massie will joyfully celebrate this holiday season with his family as he basks in the glory of trolling people with his guns and ammo "Christmas card," while the families of those who were killed in the Michigan school shooting will bury their children. It's clear that this lack of humanity is no longer simply a symptom of a Republican party led by former President Donald Trump, who was known for his own inflammatory rhetoric. Instead of that callousness ending with Trump's 2020 defeat, it's becoming a staple of today's GOP."
This is what you get when you vote Republican! And this is what the citizens of Kentucky voted for to represent them — it's a sad statement about the mentality of the people of Kentucky. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the QAnon Bitch, revealed her stupidity yet again by comparing cancer and COVID-19.
Yesterday she tweeted that "every single year more than 600,000 people in the US die from cancer. The country has never once shut down. Not a single school has closed." She recommended that instead of vaccines we ought to be working towards ending obesity and promoting covid treatments that are proven to work. And Greene continues to promote the falsehoods that ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies are "saving lives." Both the CDC and the FDA have warned people not to take ivermectin, yet there are many ignorant Trump cultists who listen to this bitch's babble as though it was gospel.
Like Trump, her cult leader, Greene is living in her own false sense of reality. Greene's statements yesterday clearly reveal her ignorance. Numerous "thinking" people quickly responded to Greene's tweets pointing out that school shutdowns, vaccines and masking are not put in place to prevent cancer because cancer is not transmissible. The American Cancer Society says that "you cannot 'catch' cancer from someone else." COVID-19, on the other hand, can be transferred from person to person via respiratory droplets.
How were the people of Georgia so hoodwinked into voting for such an incompetent person to represent them? If Marjorie Taylor Greene represents the thinking of the people of Georgia, then Georgia must breed very low-IQ voters.

White Supremacists lose their rented U-Haul in D.C.
A group of white supremacist cowards lost their U-Haul, their preferred mode of transportation, after an insignificant march in Washington, D.C.
The Daily Beast reported yesterday's sideline story about a rally by a group of 100+ white supremacists, outfitted in white gators, sunglasses, blue jackets, khaki pants, and brown boots and hats, marching to the beat of a snare drum on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and chanting about their intent to "reclaim America," whatever that means. By the end of the night these assholes couldn't even reclaim their rented U-Haul.
We won't post any of the group's intentions or quotes because that's exactly what such groups want, using mainstream media to spread their message of hatred and lies. We won't even post this group's name, but suffice it to say that one man affiliated with the group murdered a woman at the notorious Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in August of 2017, the rally at which Trump, the out-of-touch narcissistic LOSER, referred to as there being "very fine people on both sides," implying moral equivalence between the white supremacist marchers and those who protested against them.

USA Today has reported that Marcus Lamb, the founder of the Christian network Daystar who has been a vocal opponent of the coronavirus vaccine, has died of COVID-19. He was 64.
Daystar, based in Bedford, TX, has over 70 stations reaching 100 million U.S. households nationwide and 680 million households across over 200 countries. Daystar has broadcast segments and published information online that features misinformation about the virus, vaccines and unproven treatments for COVID-19, so multitudes of gullible people believe the lies this organization spews forth. Marcus Lamb had encouraged unapproved treatments for COVID-19, including hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, a drug he referred to as "a miracle drug." For months Daystar has hosted conspiracy theorists pressing unproven treatments for the virus, including some who framed vaccines and mandates as ungodly and satanic. Lamb described the virus, vaccines and vaccine mandates as evidence of the devil trying to attack followers of a true God.
Daystar's website peddles a host of misinformation about vaccines, while the truth is that vaccines remain the safest and most effective way to prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Will the ignorant and the gullible now wake up, grow a brain, and get vaccinated? We doubt it. COVID-19 is going to continue to "thin the herd."

The Washington Post reported that U.S. District Judge Linda V. Parker in Michigan ordered a group of lawyers, including Trump cultist Sidney Powell, who brought a sham lawsuit challenging the 2020 election results to pay about $175,000 in legal fees to the state of Michigan and the city of Detroit, calling their lawsuits “a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process.”
The city of Detroit had reported that it spent $182,192 defending Powell's frivolous case.
Judge Parker said the hefty fee was an “appropriate sanction . . . needed to deter Plaintiffs’ counsel and others from engaging in similar misconduct in the future.” She also wrote that she believed that the attorneys have the ability to pay the fees, particularly given that they have been soliciting donations from members of the public to fund lawsuits like the one they brought in Michigan. The judge previously ordered each of the lawyers to undergo 12 hours of legal education, including six hours in election law.
David Fink, a lawyer for the city of Detroit, said: “These lawyers abused the federal courts to advance the big lie. They must pay a price for their misconduct, and this ruling is a good start.” Michigan Attorney Gen. Dana Nessel concurred, saying, “The awarding of fees further holds accountable the attorneys who worked to distort our democracy in favor of lining their own pockets.”

The Guardian has revealed that Sidney Powell, the lawyer who filed lawsuits across America for Trump, hoping to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, has on several occasions represented to federal courts that people were co-counsel or plaintiffs in her cases without seeking their permission to do so.
Powell also named several other lawyers as co-counsel in her election-related cases, despite the fact that they played virtually no role whatsoever in bringing or litigating those cases.
Both of those actions constitute serious violations of the American Bar Association rules for professional conduct. Powell’s misrepresentations to the courts in those particular instances often aided fundraising for her own nonprofit, Defending the Republic. Powell told prospective donors that the attorneys were integral members of an “elite strike force” who had played outsized roles in her cases – when in fact they were barely involved, if at all.
Leslie Levin, a professor at the University of Connecticut Law School, said in an interview: “Misrepresentations to the court are very serious because lawyers are officers of the court. Bringing a lawsuit in someone’s name when they haven’t consented to being a party is a very serious misrepresentation and one for which a lawyer should expect to face serious discipline.”
Nora Freeman Engstrom, a law professor at Stanford University, says that Powell’s actions appear to violate Rule 3.3 of the ABA’s model rules of professional misconduct which hold that “a lawyer shall not knowingly … make a false statement of fact of law to a tribunal.”
Since election day last year, federal and state courts have dismissed more than 60 lawsuits alleging electoral fraud and irregularities by Powell, and other Trump allies.
